I realized recently from some comments made around the forum that we did not have a tutorial for sending private messages to each other. So, I am here to fill that gap in knowledge!
There are plenty of reasons why one might want to send a private message to another. From sharing personal spells to more sensitive subjects, private messages here in the Infinite Roots Coven serve as another method of member communication. They work similar to emails – you choose your recipient(s), and a subject line, write your message, and hit send! 
There are a few different ways you can get to the private message interface. I will show you each method from both your computer and the app!
The method for sending PMs does not change based on how you access the forum. The steps are the same on both computers, the app, and the mobile version of the site. So, I will give general instructions first. Then, if you still need assistance, each section contains a dropdown with screenshots for computers and mobile access.
Method One: Messages From A Comment

Click on the profile picture of the person you want to message. This will bring up their “Info Card”.

Click the blue “Message” button. This will take you to the message interface.

If necessary, edit the subject line of your message. Then, write your message.

When you are happy with your message, click send!
Method Two: From Your Inbox

Click your profile picture in the top right corner of the page.

From the dropdown menu, click the icon that looks like a gray envelope twice. This will take you to your inbox.

Click on the blue button with an envelope in it. This will open the new message interface.

Enter the name of the user you want to message. Enter your subject and message, then push send.
Bonus: Sending A Group Message
Want to send a message to more than one person? You absolutely can! To send a group message, you simply need to add each person to the message when choosing your recipient. Keep in mind that this will create a group message – everyone in the message will be able to see all messages!
The only way to add someone to a message is to invite them using the “plus” symbol at the bottom of the very first message. It looks like this.
