I’m really glad you decided to look it up- there sure are a lot of plants that look the same/have similar names but have a world of difference between them 
It reminds me of this discussion a while back that talked about the nasty evil twins of some common healing herbs, and I’m reading a book called Wicked Plants now for book club- it’s a very eye-opening reminder that, although nature is a wonderful thing, it needs to be respected and always handled with caution
