I found a video that all Green Witches need to watch!

I don’t know why YouTube put this up on my screen randomly. I don’t look at anything to do with gardening, really. But for some reason I watched this video and it kind of made me want to try! You know, if I had a a yard.

It’s a video all about these 20 herbs that were popular for healing and seasoning foods, but we don’t use them anymore. At least two were the kind you can put in the ground and forget it. It’ll live! So I thought I’d share the link here, as I think a lot of witches would be interested in it!

Enjoy!

I’ve bookmarked it! I’m always interested in discovering more healing plants. Hopefully I can find a few, even if from online nurseries.

Thanks, love!

Terrific Tuesday my Gifted Green Witches,

I am not great with growing (Vegas, too hot), but I like to cook. I have 3 books. The Herbalist’s Guide: How to build and use your own apothecary (by Mary Colvin, RH (AHG)–a little over 200 pages, explains the herbs, how to use them, with what, how much to use, to make your own oils, salves, poultices….Similar is Forgotten Home Apothecary: 250 Powerful Remedies at your Fingertips (by Nicole Apelian, Ph.D) this first 8 or so pages look like shelves with “potions” on them. You find the issue you want to fix, and it tells you which page solves that problem, on the page are pictures of the herb, with Ingredients needed, Directions to make it, and dosage/instructions to use it. (I love this one). And finally The Natural Healing Handbook; Simple Recipes and Remedies for Every Condition (Ancient Remedies Press, no author given). Like the Natural Healing book, when you open it, it lists the malaise, and how to fix it, and throughout the book it gives very simple recipes on how to use the “medicine” in everyday eating/foods. This one makes it seem like it’s just a meal, great if you have finicky eaters.

Well, my little 2 cents on green witchery. Lady Gene :books:

I hope you find something! There was a couple I thought I could grow! If, you know, I had a yard.

Those books sound awesome! Very handy to have.

You’re welcome! I’m glad you liked it! I was captivated, and I’m not usually one for garden-type videos. I don’t even know why it popped up on my page, but I’m glad it did!
