I would like to introduce myself

Hello, My name is Jessie and I live in the country up in Northern Minnesota. I have been a solitary practitioner since 1986. I am native from the Andes Mountains in Peru. I am learning Quechua to add my native language into my practice. Two of My deities are named Pachamama and Mama Quilla. I also practice Reiki healing. I like to work with energy and chakra. I also love working with herbs and love making natural remedies for every day and healing. I learned from my mom to use natural remedies for healing. I love combining my heritage with my practice. Even though I have practiced for a long time. I know there is always something new I can learn. I am here in the hopes of learning from others. New ideas, new thoughts.

Welcome @jessieK ! I’m from north central Minnesota! I’ve been practicing many different aspects of the craft for 35+ years. I currently work with chaos magick, voodoo and divination.

This is a great place for learning and growing your practice. I always enjoy learning new things, even tho I’ve practiced for so long already. If you ever have questions feel free to ask. There is always someone who can guide you in the right direction

Hi, @jessieK! I’m Amethyst from Southern West Virginia. Welcome to the forum! :infinite_roots:

I’ve heard that Quecha is one of the hardest languages to learn, so wow, you’re awesome! Although I do wonder how someone from Peru got up there in Viking territory. LOL!

I jest. My Daddy was from Lake Bronson, Minnesota. About 7 miles from the Canadian border. We visited his hometown when I was twelve and yes he did have to walk to school uphill both ways! LOL!

It’s great to meet you! If you have any questions or anything, just ask and someone will be there to help you out. I look forward to getting to know you!

Merry meet @jessieK and welcome!

My name is Kat, and I’ve been practicing the craft for over 30 years. My practice is rooted in a blend of nature magick, green magick, and elements of hedgecraft. I work closely with the natural world, drawing inspiration from plant spirits, animal spirits, and liminal spaces.

There is a wonderful search function that will help you dig for more information in the forums!

We’re glad to have you here. :purple_heart: Make yourself comfortable, explore, and feel free to ask questions!:herb: :acorn: :crescent_moon: :deer:

Welcome @jessieK!

Pachamama sounds familiar, but I don’t know much about them. Eager to learn more from you!

I’m Georgia in New Mexico. I study anything I can wrap my mind around. Please join in any conversation which interests you and feel free to create new threads to celebrate your favorites!

I am curious about something. What was it like for you when you moved from the southern hemisphere to the northern in respect to backwards seasons and holidays? I’ve been thinking about such a move, curious about how the change affects mind and body.

Hi @jessieK and welcome to the family! I’m Nikki, an Eclectic Wiccan, fairly new to the site but not to the craft… I’m very glad you found your way here!

It sounds like you have a rich culture, how blessed to learn from your mum and combine your craft with your heritage.

I’m really looking forward to learning from you and your culture!

As a bucket list item, my SO and I went to Peru for a couple of weeks. We loved it. It is so full of history and nice people. I got to practice my High School Spanish since we were in places where there were few English speakers. Everyone treated us very kindly. The National Parks are so well kept and I was engrossed in all the sacred places.

We bought the normal trinkets for tourists including representations of Pachamama which I wear as a symbol on my hat.

Welcome and have fun exploring Spells8!
