Hello, I’ve been in this group a while ago and i enjoyed it and I’ve been trying to he in touch with my spirituality and also tap into my shadow work since that needs some work
Lately i have been finding myself in a bit of a battle with my emotions and feeling love and giving love, giving others love comes easy to me but when it comes to myself i have some blockages
I also had a bad experience with feeling a cold presence inside of my chest (hard to explain but pretty much it feels like i need to cry half of the time
I pretty much would like some advice on how i can raise my energy and be happier without the need for validation
Hopefully this isn’t too negative for the forum, im trying to keep it chill because good vibes = good vibes
@summer2 I’m sorry you’re having these problems. Have you thought about some counseling for the self-acceptance thing? Might help. I know it helped me.
Here are a couple of spells I found that might help you. One is for self-love and the other one is a good protection spell you can cast on the Full Moon Tuesday that might help that cold feeling go away.
It sounds like you have a big heart full of love, but are having a hard time sharing some of that love with yourself- I just want to say that you’re not alone. For many reasons, from the media to cultural expectations to personal situations and experiences, many people struggle with taking care of themselves- even when they know it is important. A rescue boat full of holes isn’t going to be able to save anyone else- but knowing that and taking the steps to patch any metaphoric “holes” are different things. Self care work is a lot of work, and I know very well it can be tough to have the energy, time, and motivation to focus on it
You’ve got some wonderful suggestions from Amethyst, and I second the advice that getting a helping hand is a great idea- from therapists to counselors, there are people out there who have developed specialized skills in order to be able to help you help yourself. If you haven’t already looked into that, I think it’s worth considering!
A few other magickal ideas you could explore include self care spells, self compassion spells, self confidence spells, and happiness spells.
Just a few more ideas you might consider- I hope that, whatever you choose, you find exactly what you are looking for.

What works for me: self care. Every time. I am feeling depressed: more self care. I’m feeling unappreciated: more self care. I’m feeling uninspired: more self care. I’m feeling negative: more self care. The basics first: sleep, hydration, healthy food, movement, sunshine. Then the next level: meditation (or guided meditation video), herbal tea, coloring, listening to my favorite music, wearing my favorite clothes, gratitude lists, random generosity, ASMR or I go the crystal store and blow $2 on another pretty rock I also found one antidote for stuckedness of any time is to just mix it up and do something different, like go a different way home or eat at a new place or explore a town you haven’t been. Because sometimes you just need a new perspective to break through a pattern, or at least start breaking through it.
