This is an image I created of the Triple Goddess. It didn’t start that way. I was playing with color and shape and then she/they appeared.
Beautiful! Very inspired!
Keep up the great art!
Thank you!
That’s kiinda cool.
Always a pleasure! I enjoy creativity in many forms.
Wow, that’s beautiful @aaronb! It sounds like She manifested naturally for you
I’m trying to learn more about digital art, but I’m nowhere near this level. The balance of colors and shapes is really neat to see. May I ask what program you like to use, and if there’s one you recommend?
Blessed be!
I appreciate that! I find if I get out of my own way, what needs to emerge does so in surprising ways.
I use Procreate the most. The key for me is creating lots of layers and blending and filtering them. I work on my drawing skills a lot, too, just sketching people and animals and places. It really helps give a foundation for the more abstract and trippy stuff I do.
Here is a link to my IG. I do art every day. https://www.instagram.com/ravabergman/

Words of wisdom! I’m just getting started and I’m not good at getting “out of my own way” yet. I can’t seem to trust the process and I judge every line and color I do with a critic’s eye It’s a work in progress, though, and it’s inspiring to see and hear how others create!
I don’t currently use Instagram (otherwise I would follow you!) but I took a look and loved seeing your other pieces. You’re a real master of color! Everything is so vibrant, lively, and fun to see
Thank you so much for sharing, and for the boost of inspiration, too! It makes me want to keep improving my art
Blessed be!
Thank you! Art for me is my first form of magic. The colors are usually about the way I want to feel, not necessarily what I am feeling in the moment. It’s really transformative. I envision myself transported into the places I create.
Just being persistent in making marks and shapes and colors without judgment or trying to create a masterpiece will elevate your art in beautiful ways.
Wow, that colorful and kinda odd to look at but it’s nice! Awesome!
You packed a lot of punch in this one, @aaronb ! I like the look of geometrical style art, it’s very jazzy. Beautiful colors!
I’ve mainly worked with oil pastels for sketching/painting, as I like that tactile feel of a mark coming from my hands. I really admire artists who can command these digital programs and get work like this - lovely!
Blessed be!
I really appreciate that. I like the tactile part, too. I do a lot of traditional drawing and painting in watercolors and acrylics. One of the reasons I like digital is that I can sit on the couch at night and hang out with the family and draw on my ipad and not worry about getting pixels all over the couch. Also, the undo button has made me braver in my art.
@aaronb: You mean you don’t want this kind of thing to happen?
But - it’s so much fun to crawl around on the floor cleaning up oil pastels! You’re smart to stick to the ipad on the couch. I don’t like sketching with anything I can’t remove with an eraser - it’s my best friend. Light graphite or soft pastel pencils, please! Then I’ll paint over the sketch with more confidence.
Oh no. Such a nice pastel, too. It’s now performance art.
Why yes - henceforth I’ll be calling it that!
Thanks for the save, @aaronb!
LOL
That’s my favorite, too. I don’t do especially creative stuff but the program does offer amazing flexibility from doing realism to abstract. Here is one I did for a course. It took a while.
That is outstanding and very creative.
That’s beautiful, @dan3! I love the movement of the water, and the smoke looks great.
@aaronb - yours is more interesting. Coming up with that and executing it well is not trivial. I love Procreate because it makes it so easy to do digital art. I’ve tried digital drawing with other programs with terrible results. Procreate even does a great job at modifying photos. It has a steep learning curve (not as bad as Photoshop) and that was why I took a course so I could learn what the heck to do.
