Here are some treats in honor of Pet Remembrance Day. I’m sorry I don’t have anything for reptiles, fish, or arachnids. Not sure what they even eat, but if you want, I’ll try to research it.
Peanut Butter Banana Dog Treats
Ingredients:
3 tbsp creamy peanut butter
1 very ripe banana
2 cups rolled oats
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350° and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Blend oats in a food processor until smooth like flour. It’s ok if not all of the oatmeal pieces get fully blended.
Mix peanut butter and banana until well blended. I did this part by hand.
Add oat powder to peanut butter mixture until dough-like texture–like cookie dough.
Roll out dough about 1/8” onto a silicon mat.
Cut treats or use small cookie cutters for a perfect bite-sized treat. Bake for 15-17 minutes.
Cool and serve. Store in a sealed container.

DIY Tuna Cat Treats
Ingredients:
1 5 oz can tuna (packed in water), drained
1 C. All-Purpose Flour
½ Banana, mashed
1 Egg
1 Tbsp. Olive Oil
Parchment Paper
Fish Cookie Cutters
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°.
Tear off parchment paper to match the length of the cookie sheet you will be using. Set aside.
Combine all ingreiednts in a large mixing bowl, and mix.
The dough will shape into a ball and be somewhat tacky.
Place dough onto parchment paper.
Cut another piece of parchment paper and place it over the dough ball.
Flatten the dough out with your hand somewhat then roll out with a rolling pin until about ¼” thick.
*If you’re using the Fish Cookie Cutter, remove the top layer of parchment paper and then place the cookie cutter over dough, pressing down firmly. You may have to gently press the dough pieces out of the cookie cutter onto the baking sheet.
If you’re not using the cookie cutter, place the parchment paper with flattened dough onto a baking sheet.
Remove the top piece of parchment paper and discard.
Bake for 10 to 15 minutes until firm and golden.
Let cool completely.
Cut into small squares or triangle shapes with a pizza cutter.
Store in a mason jar– in the refrigerator.
