But I have always thought from the beginning that it would be cool to have a live chat room. Some place where we could all talk together! Anyways I know they are a lot of work. I had a witchy website myself long ago and we had a chat room and I DO remember the work and time it involved, so I guess I understand not having one. But maybe someday? puppy dog eyes lol

I agree, it is a fun idea, and I also agree that is it is a tough thing to organize! A while back we had some live meetup groups like the virtual coven meetups and the live reading room for book club. They eventually went on hiatus, largely due to how difficult it was for folks to gather at one set time. We’re blessed with coven members all over the globe and so scheduling set events is difficult with time differences and schedule conflicts. It’s tough to organize live meetups when only a small amount of people can make any one time!
To try to balance this, we have some gatherings that are “open”. The weekly group ritual, for example, is on Thursdays but not at a set time. Folks can join in, share the good energy, and chat at any time during the day and into the weekend. The flexibility comes at the cost of the excitement of a live event, but it allows more folks to join on their own schedule.
Having said that, while there aren’t any moderator-run live events at the moment, the coven is a collaborate space, and coven members are welcome and encouraged to create fun events for fellow members if they wish! If you (or anyone!) feels called to plan and host a live get-together to chat with friends, you’re welcome to share the meeting link here in the forum.
