Kia ora and greetings to all!

Kia ora from Te Waipounamu/New Zealand!
I’m an eclectic witch, drawing on a mix of the traditional knowledge and spirituality of my Māori culture, lunar magic, and whatever else speaks to my values and the way I view the world :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
I’m a mother, auntie, grandmother, and grew up with strong Māori, Cornish, and Irish women who either had the Sight or communicated with the tūpuna (ancestors). I first came across Wicca as a teenager and practiced until I was in my mid twenties. I let it lapse and eventually became quite lost.
I left an abusive relationship and as part of my healing, I turned to the moon and nature, and started doing rituals and spells again to give me strength to stay away from my ex (yay trauma bonds). Needless to say, I’ve found myself again…
Witchcraft and Wicca have also been vehicles for me to explore and learn about the traditional spirituality of my people. I grew up within my hapū (clan), but a lot of the old esoteric knowledge had been lost because of colonisation and the imposition of Christianity by missionaries. I’m really enjoying finding the traditional female atua (deities) and the more esoteric lunar/seasonal knowledge of my tūpuna and bringing them into my beliefs and practice!
I prefer to practice as a Solitary as my relationships with nature, the tūpuna, and the atua, are a sacred thing between me and them  In saying that though, I love being a part of our tribal celebrations and rituals, and meeting other Solitary witches with similar beliefs and practices to mine!
I’m really excited to keep learning, keep developing my practice, and humbly sharing what I can with those who are genuinely interested

Tāiki e! (The Māori version of so mote it be!)

Merry meet @Hinemarama and welcome!

I’m Kat and I found the practice over 30 years ago but lost my way for a while. I came home a few years ago and found this amazing group of people!! I practice eclectic green magick and am interested in tarot, runes, ogham, herbalism, and moon magic. I work with Artemis (she’s been with me since the beginning), Selene and Hekate.

I find my practice becoming more and more nature-based as time goes on and would love to hear more about how nature fits into your practice!

We’re glad to have you here. :purple_heart: Make yourself comfortable, explore, and feel free to ask questions!:herb: :bow_and_arrow: :acorn: :crescent_moon:
