Lavendar Sugar for Beltane

I can do this!

Lavender Sugar for Beltane

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated white sugar
  • 2-5 tablespoons fresh or dried lavender buds to taste

Instructions

  1. Pour the sugar into a small bowl.

  2. Crush the lavender buds between your hands to release the flavor and scent, slowly sprinkling over the sugar.

  3. Gently fold the lavender into the sugar with a spoon until it is evenly distributed.

  4. Pour the lavender sugar into a glass jar and seal tightly. Allow to rest at least a week before using.

Ohh, that sounds good! I’ve only had something made with lavender once in my life – it was a lavender latte and it was delicious – but I’d have to see if the lavender I have is food-grade or not… honestly, I don’t even know how I would tell anymore :joy:

What would you use the lavender sugar for?

You could use it in tea, or put it in oatmeal.

If any of it survived the winter, our lavender will probably bloom around Litha. This sounds like a very tasty way to make a fun summer treat! Although I might go for soaking in honey instead of sugar :honey_pot: :purple_heart:

Yum, yum! Thanks for the recipe, @Ostara! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
