Can’t believe it’s already time for Lewellyn Con! I rarely remember to make it to their virtual events, but I do love to get the free decal sticker they send out  And they usually have some great giveaways to enter too!

Thank you so much for the heads up, Amethyst!

Ouuuu I got basil for my birth month herb!

In my area, basil is very protective if planted out in front of your home. Its kind of like how if you plant rosemary, you can utilize it as a protection ward, same with basil, at least that’s what I’ve heard locally.

Iits also delicious on homemade from scratch pizza, which I’m a huge fan of, but haven’t mastered yet! (My dough keeps coming out dense, but I will never give up!)

I have an easy pizza dough that’s made with, like, baking soda and not yeast. I’ll try to find it and put it up. Maybe that would be easier for you. Yeast is fussy.

@Amethyst thank you for sharing. I am so far

December

:deciduous_tree: An Elder Tree Spirt it. This tree is very powerful bridge and boundary between the hedge and our world. If anyone has this tree if I may advise that if you wish to cut it back or take a branch it is very important to ask permission from The Elder-Mother as in English/Scottish Forklore if you cut or burn :fire: without permission then ill-luck will be bestowed. The correct way to ask is:-

“Elder-Mother give me some of thy wood and I will give thee some of mine when I grow into a tree”

:seedling: Basil Herb - Abundance, Love, Luck. I am so happy that I am a Basil as I eat fresh basil every week and have a plant in my kitchen. I toast a brown wholemeal crusty roll, then add fresh vine tomatoes, feta cheese, Basil pesto, oregano, fresh basil leaves and olive oil. It is simply, pack full of flavour and a taste of sunshine and the Mediterranean.

I can’t get past the taste of it, though, and the price. It’s hard to find in Walmart around here.
