In the Western Occult Tradition, each planet has traditionally been associated with a series of numbers and particular organizations of those numbers. One such method of numerological arrangement is the magick square.
The numbers associated with Saturn are 3, 9, 15 and 45. This is because:
- Each row and column of the magick square contains three numbers.
- The square contains nine numbers total, ranging from 1 to 9.
- Each row, column and diagonal add up to 15.
- All of the numbers in the square add up to 45.
Divine Names
The divine names associated with Saturn all have numerological values of 3, 9, or 15. The names of the intelligence of Saturn and the spirit of Saturn have a value of 45. These values are calculated by writing out the names in Hebrew and then adding up the value of each included letter, as each Hebrew letter can represent both a sound and a numerical value.
Pretty cool huh?*
Sigils can be traced in the air, carved on candles, inscribed on mirrors, paper, yourself and just about anything!
After you are done charging and filling your sigil with your intent you must go through the process of activating it. Charging is done by meditation and visualization of the intent onto the sigil image.
There are two methods of activation: Active and Passive Activation.
Active Activation: The energy is released all at once usually in a near immediate way. This is typically done through the destruction of the sigil. (example: fire) This will release the charged energy of your sigil into the universe.
A few samples of how to activate active sigils:
Drawing the sigil on paper and burning it with fire.
Drawing the sigil on your body and then washing if off.
Drawing the sigil on a piece of paper and then submerging it under water until it dissolves.
Drawing the sigil in dust and then blowing it or wiping it away.
Drawing sigil on food and then eating it.
Passive Activation: The energy is usually released over time through a very controlled way. You keep this sigil around so that you can continue to work and release it’s energy as needed. However, you will need to recharge your sigil if you are using this method because after a while, they get drained and become low on energy – think of it like a battery.
A few samples of how to activate a passive sigil:
Draw the sigil on a piece of paper.
Get a tattoo.
Carve on a candle, wood, or stone.
Post the image online.
Phone background image.
Have an amulet made.
Of course, the above grid to create a sigil is just ONE of many ways
