Loosing my touch

Merry meet all,

I am feeling a little lost with my craft. I just feel like I lack motivation lately . Any advice

We all go thru this. Ease yourself back into your practice. Light a candle every morning. Say a small chant for strength and motivation. Soon you will be back into your practice at full swing. This helps for me. Perhaps others will have more advice for you.

Hi @carrianne,

I’m seconding Mystique - it’s perfectly natural for a spiritual practice to wax and wane over the years. Witches are like the moon in that way. No one can be “full” every night, we need periods of rest. This may mean not doing spells for a while or giving the energy we have to other passion projects.

But just because someone isn’t actively casting spells doesn’t mean they aren’t a witch anymore! Rest is natural, and stepping back from a practice can be part of that practice, just like winter gives nature a break while still being part of the overall natural cycle of seasons.

All that is to say, it’s fine and natural to need a break. Feel free to take a break and/or focus on other things that are calling to you. They may help you recharge your motivation batteries, and they may eventually lead you back to your Craft

Sending positive thoughts your way! Blessed be

Merry Meet Carrianne,

Yes, I went through this recently, however, I only missed 1 day….it was a struggle to keep myself going. As others already pointed out, it does not need to be extravagant. Only a candle or simple meditation will help you to get back to it. Most important, do NOT beat yourself up for it. Look at it as a positive…..the cosmos is telling you to take it easy. Just roll with it

Hey there! This is commonly called burn out, or witch burn out. Take a step back, get back to nature and let yourself relax. Maybe read a fairy tale or myth that seems magical to you, or watch a movie! This is a busy time of year so make time for yourself. Have a cup of cocoa and light a candle and relax. It’s all come together after you’ve rested up a bit.

You’re welcome! There are a few videos on YouTube about witch burn out if you watch videos. That might give you a few ideas too! And let you know that it’s not just you. Everyone does it sometimes, I do believe. Good luck!

Hi!
Whenever I´m low energy and feel like I´m loosing contact to my magick and myself I´m reciting affirmations. I love affirmations/chants and will collect them from books, movies, the internet or write some myself.
Here are some of my favorites:

This is from “The craft” movie
“Now is the time
this is the hour
I am the magick
mine is the power”

“I am a witch
powerful beyond compare
I will prevail
because I always do”

One of my all time favorites is this one
“My spirit is grounded
deep in the earth
I am calm, strong, centered and peaceful.
I let go of fear for I am
eternally safe and worthy
of all things beautiful.”

I love creating affirmation cards that I then will stick to mirrors and cabinet door around the house. lol

Always be gentle with yourself!
Blessings, Katharina
