Lucky Rabbit feet. not vegan friendly

we raise a few rabbits for meat.:rabbit: today we humanely and respectfully harvested some of them. So when they were being processed I asked if we were keeping the feet. The response I got was Do you want them? The person that was helping us goes “you should do something witchy with them.” (him not knowing of my broom in the closet lol) Why yes I should I thought to myself knowing that he was only kidding.

So do any of you use rabbit feet? I was thinking like lucky charms amulets or something…

I have a memory that my grandmother had a lucky rabbit’s foot, I think it was on a keyring, back in the dark ages of my childhood in the UK. It’s not something I would consider for myself though.

Why not  :rabbit: No idea if you’d need to do something taxidermy-adjacent with them, don’t think the flesh will keep very well as it is.

Could also do something with the bones, to keep the spirit of the rabbit with you. Like throwing them for divination. Rabbit bones might work well for lottery and other gambling

I had one when I was quite young. Liked the soft fur, but otherwise, I wasn’t all that impressed with it as some form of lucky charm. That was just me, though. I didn’t know much about the life process or deeper meanings of a rabbit.

How do you feel about them? What do they mean to you?

Since you raised the rabbits, you could keep the feet as memories of their personalities. They could offer their energies to your work as Spirit Guides or Familiars. If you were to cast a patronus charm, like in Harry Potter, would the energy take the form of a rabbit for you?

@Artemisia throws bones. She may have more ideas of preservation and cleaning for you, if you’re interested.

I have used rabbit skin as a canvas for artwork. It was already preserved when I obtained it.

Whatever you choose, may they help, guide, and protect you.
