Ah! This might be the flower I found broken off in the parking lot of Lowes. Thank you! I brought it home to dry. Now to seek the correspondences of such a beauty

@Greenbriar lots of herbs and calendula flower. That is a lovely collection :seedling:

@Ostara wow it has changed some much it only seems a few weeks that you were planting, already harvesting and jalapeño peppers they are lovely. Tomatoes as you know are hungry feeders, you could thin out the weakest to give more room and air around them to prevent any disease.

Your statue is definitely helping your herbs. It is a Amaryliis Red Lion Bulb?

@Artemisia lovely photos glad that they have moved to your new house they are stunning my Mum had a rose garden and the smell is incredible and intoxicating. Your vegetable plot is coming along I am also having to open and close due to variable temperature changes.

@Feathertip it will come all of a sudden I am the same it is about 13-17 with lows of 7-3 yet. I have my herbs planted out, Wildflower Cowslip (it has started to dye back), Hyssop, Oregano in flower, Chives, Bay, Rosemary, Lemon Balm and Garlic Chives and Fig Tree, potatoes and cucumbers, garlic are putting on growth and my lavender is starting to come through.

Thank you! I’m going to plant it soon!

I know it’s an Amaryliis, but I’m not sure about the Red Lion part.

I told hubby that, but he wouldn’t do it. Not sure how they are going to do.

 @Ostara the Red Lion Bulb is just the colour of the flower the red ones are really good ones to have. You can make some tomato chutney with your peppers when you harvest some more later in the season if that is possible.

@CrystalJohn I can understand why it looks like something you would find in a Greek Temple . Good luck with your new witchy plants sending growing blessings

@CrystalJohn it’s beautiful!

Well, I haven’t been out to the garden in a few days and still need to weed, but that will have to wait.

My sunflower rain boot will give it some scale. :sunflower:

My mother’s Day gift this year from my three is a day of labor! We have a lot of gardening to do this weekend!! Hopefully I will have some pictures to show you all soon! Very excited to implement some magik into my yard.

I also have some regular crow visitors, but no gifted yet. I love them!! Your garden looks gorgeous. Are those Canna Lily’s? I had some in NC but it’s too cold up here I think. Yours are amazing though!

I love that there is a special name for the last frosty nights. We just had our this week (hopefully) and I am planting on Sunday!! Send you some warm spring vibes too so we can catch up to everyone’s gorgeous gardens!

Wow, @Artemisia all of yours are coming in so nicely!!

I can see why! It’s gorgeous and it fits in that cool pot so well!!

Thanks @CrystalJohn!

Your foxgloves are beautiful!

Yes they are. They are pretty now, but once we get in the triple digits they get straggley.

Have fun with your gardening! I’m looking forward to seeing your pictures!

Thank you!

I have a row of squash that I didn’t plant marigolds around and I killed 2 squash bugs. I know the marigolds work because I haven’t found bugs on those. This garden is an experiment. :beetle:

@Ostara that is a good harvest. You could make a really good soup, I roast the squash, sweet potatoes and carrotsI batch cook and freeze it. It is real comfort food with some crusty bread . It is one of my favourites. It is lovely on a BBQ cutting them into 1/4, with olive :olive: oil or even spice them up. Whatever you do with them I am sure it will be good. Yes gardening is a learning curve some things work so don’t but it is fun experimenting enjoy your squashes :waning_crescent_moon::green_heart:

Marigolds would be an awesome, natural way to handle those pests! Great experiment!

Your squash and peppers look so vibrant & delicious

Where I live we are finally out of “frost danger” recently and I just (like a week ago) got my squash seeds plus some others in the ground

Oh wow,

I love pumpkins and the round gem squashes that I know from South Africa, but I have Never Seen squashes like those before. In Germany squashes seem unknown. I haven’t Found any edible ones in the Shops. In Autumn one may find something similiar for decoration purposes. I would love to taste them! They look delicious.

I have just been away for a strenious week caring for my parent-in-law and was so happy to come home to find my Garden looking beautiful and well. The plants survived the cold spell (Eisheiligen, that I mentioned before) and greeted me with an array of pinks and purples that I wanted to share with you, as they gave me great joy - so please bear with me
