Merry Monday Magickal Mavens,

Dan
love the Star Wars stuff!!!

Lenormand–What has become too complicated? 33 Key; 3 Ship; 8 Coffin

Very Interesting today!!!

This is telling me that in order to move forward I have to close and bury something.

What it is
I am not quite sure
Tarot told me to trust my intuition today.

Tantalizing Tuesday,

Lenormand today - What expectation should I release? 28 Man; 12 Birds; 4 Home

Well, this looks like the final confirmation (other than the doctor assessment next month)
 What to release?

Seems I am not to expect any meaningful conversation from my husband, here at home. Makes sense since it looks as though he is entering dementia/alzheimers. How can you reason with a 71 year old toddler?

Well
good thing I have come out of my coma. It’s my turn to '“step up to the plate”!

Deck: NewAge1. Images are AI

Sun — The clarity I want to act on
Tree - The deeper rhythm which can’t be rushed
Cross - The weight behind the choice - another requirement for a moment of stillness. and consideration

Really, the Sun says I need to do this but the Tree and Cross say don’t act rashly. Is this a nudge to consider whether I am thinking “do this” because it feels good, or because it feels true?

There are some minor things going on that should fit this well enough - none seem like a true direction changing event. I’ll think about it.

My draw today is from the Art deck.

Stork: changes, care, improvement, transformation, seasonal shift

Fish: finances, rewards, abundance, generosity, flow, resources

Crossroads: decisions, choice, direction, uncertainty, transition

I like a general Narrative format here.

How fortuitous to have drawn the Crossroads card with this question
the main event that is causing me to pause and think carefully has to do with my outdoor environment. Planning a new garden is not as dramatic as the “crossroads in my life” nature of this question, but I am simply not facing anything like that at this time. (I am lucky.)

The Stork card speaks of improvements, transformations and seasonal shifts - clearly a garden reference for me. Fish has to do with money/finances, which of course relates to the expenditures needed ahead for this project. The positive nature of this card speaks to the rewards (hopefully) from spending the money needed!

The Crossroads card here simply references the many choices and decisions I will be making during this time of transition. I still have uncertainty as to how this will go.

Reflection: a pretty great draw considering what is keeping the forefront of my mind busy these days!

My draw today is from the Art deck.

Book: information, mystery, secret, education, knowledge, study

Key: opening or closing, revelation, solutions, certainty, new beginnings

Birds: chatter, conversations, communication, gossip

I like a general Narrative format for this question and draw.

I can reinforce the boundary that gives me some respite from too much chatter. Here, I think the Birds card represents too much time online when I’d rather be reading or spending more time with my plants or outside activity.

I like the Key card being in the middle of this draw - there are the Books on one side and the Birds on the other. The Key is suggestion a healthy boundary is to find and maintain that balance so nothing absorbs my time wholly and things stay undone.

Witchy Wednesday Wacky Witches,

Lenormand Today - What boundary needs reinforcing? 14 Fox; 7 Snake; 9 Bouquet

This looked ominous and strange at the same time.

I need to derail any and all of my husband’s attempts at trickery and deception (14 and 7) in order to maintain joy, happiness, beauty, love, harmony, here at home (9)

Ex. My husband said he needed X and X in the refrigerator for the boys. Nah, nah, nah, his projecting himself on others again. While he was gone to Mx for 2 weeks, I had made rice and beans and picadillo for the boys, and they never ate it
I had to throw it out. Now, my husband returns, and “the boys need beans and rice in the refrigerator at all times!!!” (he exasperatedly stresses to me).

So it looks like much of his “exasperated” (see he never gets “mad” only “exasperated”, his words) episodes are actually his projected feelings. So, when he starts to act this way, like with the dementia, I need to change the focus of the conversation.

Deck: Beginner (Etsy)

Heart, Mountain, Tree

Format: I did this two ways (Narrative, Mod/Subj/Mod) I like the latter the best

My healthy boundary is Mountain signified by endurance and . I can reinforce it by choosing a steady, loving pace (H) and honoring my ancestral roots. (T)

My draw today is from the Art deck.

Man: Will, male gender, masculinity, left side of the brain

Bear: strength, power, protection, greatness, responsibility

House: family, stability, shelter, tradition, domestic matters

I like a general Narrative format here.

I made a seemingly minor decision for today that clearly aligns better with who I am becoming. I am thinking more with cold hard logic (the left side of the brain; Man card), drawing on my own inner strength while still acknowledging responsibilities (Bear).

I am finding a middle ground that’s stabilizing (House) while still leaning more my way while honoring traditions and responsibilities.

Reflection: A very nice draw that led to some clarification. A nice way to get to the “if you don’t like it, tough” conclusion.

Thoughtful Thursday Thelema “Thugs!” (couldn’t think of a different TH word :kissing_face_with_closed_eyes:)

Where can I find small joy today? Wow!!! Right after I finished this pull, interpreted it, but had not made it to the 'puter yet, was I tested on this pull/read!!!

13 Child; 11 Whip; 5 Tree

At first this was hard to find “joy” with the whip. I almost gave up when the meaning “hit’” me. Stop arguing (whip) with my husband (child, his dementia/attitudes), best to ignore the outbursts, because they have no room in the home (growth on the tree).

Then not 10 minutes later, he comes into the livingroom to get coffee
and round 1 already begins. Yes, I wanted to reply
but kept it civil and quiet. Now, as I type this, he “berates” me again. Glad it is Free Bingo today
I need a little break!!!

AI quip about Volva as the archetype for Letter - click here

I found out that the AI’s are getting a sense of humor. So now I ask them about a Ryan Reynolds type quip occasionally. Here is today’s:

“Ah yes, the Völva as the Letter card — because nothing says ‘you’ve got mail’ like a mystical Norse seeress who can read your fate, your future, and probably your embarrassing browser history. Honestly, if Gmail had her level of clairvoyance, spam wouldn’t stand a chance.”

Tree: Where am I starting from?
Letter: What terrain or encounter shapes the path?
Bear: Where does this movement lead next?

I’m starting from a place of roots, recovery and slow honest truth. My path is shaped by something that arrives. A message, a document, a revelation, a signal, a piece of data. The next movement will be heading into a phase of power, protection, and resource consolidation.

Reflection: This is intriguing but also difficult to understand whether it is divination or a description of what’s already in progress. I like the idea of arriving in a position of strength.

If I assume the first part of the journey is ready to start, then I am waiting for a message - either liminal or actual - which will take me to the final step. Overall, very positive.

I have lots of habits. This should be interesting.

Deck: Godfather. A themed deck

Format: Mod/Subj/Mod

  • Letter — the message, the task, the item waiting for response, the thing in my metaphorical inbox.
  • Ring — commitment, obligation, promise, recurring duty.
  • Book — what’s unspoken, unreviewed, unorganized, or left unread;

A pending commitment (Subj - Ring) that lives in my mental or literal inbox (L) and needs to be opened, reviewed, or answered.(B).

Coffee is my first commitment every morning.

It’s the only relationship where I show up on time, listen carefully, and immediately become a better person. (Meme)

Fabulous Friday Friends of the Fae,

What should I meditate on for the next 5 minutes? 4 Home; 2 Clover; 16 Stars

Do not forget how lucky I am.

The cosmos (16) has given me a good/lucky life (I have a family and a home, something I did not have growing up).

My draw today is from the Art deck.

Child: innocence, trust, a new stage, small matters, childhood

Bouquet: beauty, happiness, gifts, gratitude, success

Ship: foresight, movement, travel, transition, growth, opportunity

I like a general Narrative format here.

The “five minutes” jumped out at me in this question, because when I do my combination of at-home PT exercises and yoga, I like to end the session in the typical yogic asana of savasana, aka “corpse pose”, a period of rest to settle the body as well as the mind before sitting up for meditation. Typically 5 minutes is set for this pose and lately I’ve been ignoring it.

My inner child (represented for me by the Child card here) has been as scattered as a happy little goat all week. It turned into a busy week for me and, while I’m always pleased to see the Bouquet card in a draw, especially centered like this, I do need to steer this day into another direction.

Ship is the card that speaks to movement in this draw, and today is a good day to get back in the swing of things, and give savasana the 5 minutes it deserves.

Reflection: this is another instance where I first study my draw and think it’s not a good fit, then as I ponder it and start writing about it, suddenly it seems just fine.

Deck: Norse. Pictures are AI

Tree (Yggdrasil), House (Forsetti), Ship (Njoror)

Tree = rooted vitality, House = inner structure, Ship = forward momentum.

I need to move today with grounded stability and purposeful motion.

Another way to look at this is to identify the strengths of each card in relation to my ancestors. Tree - the roots of my ancestors before my immediate family were pretty good. My immediate family - not so much. But I could reach back farther and borrow from the grands and great grands who had a lot going for them (immigrants from Ireland who made good). House - again, immediate family not so good but the ones before were quite strong. Ship as the willingness to move was super good.

So
I think I borrowed the most from Ship and the willingness of my ancestors to move to a better place. I certainly did that. The SO and I built a base for our kids and they turned out just fine.

My draw today is from the Art deck.

Tower (modifier): protection, permanence, institutions, isolation, stability

Ring (subject): commitment, promise, dedication, responsibility

Sun (modifier): energy, happiness, luck, a positive outcome, health

I like the classic modifier/subject/modifier format here.

The thing I am postponing today is a gardening project I’ve been trying to get to. Namely, I want to get my Morning Glory seedlings into the ground. They’re large enough now to hardly qualify as seedling plants anymore, but cold weather and wind has caused numerous delays. Today seems the first reasonable day to actually do it, but I am now deliberately postponing it for various minor time restrictions.

The Ring card as subject is reminding me of my commitment to these little vines, and to my responsibility to see it through.

I am making a trip today to a big box home improvement-type store (Tower card/institution) for other gardening supplies. The Sun card is always a welcome presence that everything will likely have a positive outcome, my plants will grow and be happy.

Reflection: a terrific draw and question for my particular gardening issues atm! :sunflower:

Super Saturday Sorcerers,

Lenormand today–What should I postpone today? 17 Storks; 15 Bear; 23 Mice

Kind of a strange read
how is this letting go? took a little thinking on it.

This is what I got from it–Do not be so stubborn today (15 Bear), ignore the “squacking” (17 Storks)at home, and don’t pay attention to anything that wants to bother me (23 Mice) today.

Sounds hard at first
but, the world will not die if I take a “day off” from the home, and just focus on ME today.
