May Lenormand 2026 - Play Time!

My draw today is from the Art deck.

Ship: movement, travel, foresight, growth, opportunity

Heart: love, friendship, harmony, happiness, support

Fish: finances, rewards, many, generosity, flow

I like a general Narrative format here.

The sun is shining…weather is now on the cusp of warmth. It’s promising enough for me to make the short journey (Ship) to a local nursery to load up more for the garden. I’ll take care to look for my absolute favorites first (Heart) and then indulge in some more if the price is right (Fish).

To answer the question, if I choose wisely and don’t break the bank, I’ll be quite pleased later. (“Proud” might be overstating it; I don’t typically overspend even if I can.)

I have had my summertime visitors, hummingbirds and Baltimore orioles, flitting in and out of my back yard just long enough to get to the nectar; no one is hanging around yet. The extended chill is making everyone edgy. Warmth will bring relaxation to us all.

Reflection: This is my own personal rite of Spring that has been delayed by weather, which is all natural but still has been nagging at my soul. No other projects on tap until I have my garden in order!

Tree, Child, Mice Format mostly Mod/Subj/Mod

A small, beginner-style action (C) that supports my long-term health or growth (T), specifically aimed at something that’s been quietly stressing me (M), is the choice that will make me proud tonight.

The question (it’s explanation - the second line) implies integrity is part of the action. While, ideally, we shouldn’t need a prompt to act with integrity, it certainly doesn’t hurt to watch for small actions that should be treated fairly. I will watch and wait for an opportunity to act appropriately.

My draw today is from the Art deck.

Snake (modifier): envy, rivalry, deception, complexity, manipulation

Stork (subject): changes, care, seasonal shift, improvement, movement, transformation

Birds (modifier): communication, gossip, chatter

I like the classic modifier/subject/modifier format here.

This one practically writes itself.

The Stork as the subject is pointing to keeping my focus on the main task at hand, my outdoor work, enjoying the changes I’m making as the seasons shift ever so gradually into summer.

The distractions are represented by the two flanking (modifier) cards, and these I can reduce. Any deceptions or needless complexities are to be ignored. Same with the chatter of noise that only serves to waste my time.

Reflection: I’m in a very focused frame of mind today! It’s a happy place.

I was reading your post and thought the same thing when I saw the cards… and then I read your line. Had to chuckle.

Deck: Yellowrock. Themed deck based on the book series A little spiritual and sometimes a little dark.

(AI)

House - the culmination of events, current, past, and future of my life. (Subject)

Crossroads, Fox - Modifiers to House

I honor the stories that shaped me by choosing which roots to keep alive and outsmarting the patterns that no longer serve me.

discussion about the card logic

The card meanings, when possible, are influenced by the characters in the book.

Crossroads applies to almost every character, even minor ones. Faith Hunter (author) is quite good.

House is Molly Everhart and her family who offer a rare (in the book) grounding of comfort and security.

Fox is Jodi Richaux - a New Orleans cop who is often one step ahead of even supernaturals. Her picture as a fox is re-imagined from her description in the stories. See her real form below.

Interesting info on the book that your deck is based on. I’ve not heard of the book, or of this author. Fun way to gain inspiration!

She sprang up with the SKinwalker series (Jane Yellowrock) in 2009 and it has almost 40000 reviews on Goodreads. For Urban Fantasy, it is considered quite popular and successful. She was #1 in her category for several years.

I’m a UF and PNR reader - like kinda obsessed. Strangely, I don’t like pure Fantasy (Lord of the Rings an exception). I also like Noir books and movies. I love the humor in them:

I was tempted to go through her personal things and see if she wrote my name in hearts over and over, but I decided against it. I was a professional after all.

Narrative format

A deliberate movement that clears mental fog, sharpens instinct, and restores mindful peace is what resets me today.

A couple of things would do that and could be likely. Take the camera out and relax and bird watch is always good. Maybe meditate on the upcoming storm would be fun. Nothing like the fresh smell of air prior to a sprinkle to recharge.

Ah, okay - that explains it. I don’t generally read urban fantasy, or much fantasy at all. There are always exceptions, of course, it’s just not a genre I’m drawn to.

I did get a chuckle our of that quote, though! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

My draw today is from the Art deck.

Garden: society, activities, community, environment

Fish: finances, rewards, abundance, flow, many

Ship: movement, transition, growth, opportunity

I like a general Narrative read here.

The physical movement that will help me reset today involves getting outside, and I am letting the Garden card be representative of that. I’ve been able to start on my annual plantings and am waiting on the morning showers to clear up, so I can get back out there.

Ship is a lovely card here, representing not just the physical movement of the question today, but the transition of little flower babies into a space where they have the opportunity to grow and flourish. The Fish card has been popping up lately, I’m letting it point to the rewards and abundance of flowers that will be scattered all around my back yard.

Reflection: It will be interesting to see if the cards shift once I’ve completed my task and settle in to summer. This has been delayed for weeks due to weather and caused me some anxiety from being so impatient!

My draw today is from the Art deck.

Whip: discipline, intensity, conflict, repetition

Scythe: caution, warning, decision, sharp

Coffin: ending, limitations, loss, transformation

I’ll take a general Narrative format here.

Not a positive draw here. I’ve completed some tasks that made me very happy, and the weather is warm and sunny. However, the tasks seem to have taken a physical toll, maybe more than I realized at the time.

I can prepare for the week ahead by being disciplined enough to get my usual chores done, just use caution in moving around. The Whip, Scythe and Coffin together are suggesting I need to accept my limitations, and gone are the days when I could do exactly as I pleased physically without some suffering to follow - maybe not always, but certainly today.

Reflection: physical pain is a total buzz kill.

Summary of card interpretations

Skinwalker (Key). The whole story arc is about DNA aberrations and how they affect those who have them. Unlocking, mystery, solutions The pictures on this card are of the same being.

Clover: a bit of luck - Jodi Richoux - an idealistic cop who realizes she needs to embrace the weird and it pays off

Tree: Only one steady Tree in the series. Molly Everhart and her lovely family are a grounding point and become key to many pieces of the story. In keeping with the theme - it needs to be noted they are witches (all of them) but also the closest to a real family tree.

The Ancestral value that wants to guide is one that unlocks the path that feels both serendipitous and sustainable. It is in my blood, it may take a bit of luck, but it will serve my soul well.

Wow… Not a positive at all. Nice read, though.

My draw today is from the Art deck.

Clover: luck, happiness, fate’s gift, expectation

Heart: love, friendship, harmony, support

Bouquet: beauty, gift, happiness, gratitude, success

I’ll take a general Narrative format for this one.

It’s nice to follow up with a lovely, positive draw after the total downer of yesterday’s cards!

The expectations that I can soften today will be towards myself. I am the one who drives myself forward, sometimes overdoing it in the process. The Heart card represents the support I receive, both while I might be overdoing it and the aftermath when it’s clear that I did. But I am a positive person bordering on Pollyanna.

Clover and Bouquet speak to the happiness I will get from the gardening, the serenity and beauty of simply sitting with it all summer long.

It’s all positive today.

Reflection: It’s do things, or don’t do things, and I am always going to be a doer. I don’t expect others to take up the slack, but when it’s time to slow down and savor the small achievements, I can do that too.

Magickal Monday my Mavens,

Lenormand Today - What expectation of others can I soften? 36 Cross; 30 Lillies; 5 Tree.

The expectations I need to release is that I am “retired”.

I need to forgive (stop the grudges) [30 Lillies] and accept my burden [36 Cross](of caring for an alzheimers husband) in order to keep stability [5 Tree] at home.

My husband took care of me the last 10 years after my coma and ensuing “departure”. I have “awakened” and now he is literally starting to “lose his mind” and now it is my turn to stand strong and “take the reigns!”

So, Lenormand for today…Lady Gene :witch_pentacle: :phoenix:

Deck: Yellowrock -: A themed deck. Images are AI

Loyalist is a replacement for Dog (no dogs in the story arc).

The decision that supports my long‑term path today is the one that honors loyalty to my true direction (Loyalist), follows the guiding signal that keeps returning (Star), and is communicated or enacted with clear, calm, intentional dialogue (Birds)

Summarized: Stay loyal to the direction already chosen, follow the signal that keeps pointing forward, and speak or act in the clear, calm way that aligns me with it.

I had to pick specific keywords to make this work. Birds has several keywords and can mean chatter and gossip (my usual interpretation).

Birds, Key, Clover

The task is a small communication (B) that opens a door (Key). It is a message, request, or inquiry that unlocks ease and opportunity once I send it (C).

I had a sleepless night. Stayed up late watching for storms (none came). So now I’m zoned out - coffee didn’t help. I think I’ll take a nap! … wait… that might be the ‘task’!

My draw today is from the Art deck.

Fish: finances, rewards, abundance, generosity, flow

Dog: friendship, loyalty, kindness, trust, support

Stars: goals, achievements, inspiration, destiny, clarity

I like a general Narrative format here.

The task(s) that will best serve my energy this morning will be done indoors, since there’s some rain happening right now. The basic housekeeping tasks, those little daily goals, will get my attention sooner than usual, so I’ll be freed up for other things sooner than later.

This is a nice positive draw, though I don’t see a lot that answers the question. Loosely, the FIsh card points to the herbs and flowers being watered by nature’s flow, so I’ll give gratitude to Gaia for the watering task today.

Reflection: I’ll take the overall positive tone of the draw, and proceed with the day.
