@Feathertip it sound like you may have to wash your hands of the landscaper. I know how you feel! Like why would someone pass on a straightforward well paid job? I had a concrete guy do that when we poured the driveway extension. You never know what is happening in in someoneās life though, so just I try and not get frustrated.

I love this!! This is excellent advice!! I wore a two piece for the first time in 15 years down on my Texas vacation last month. I was with my mom and daughter and all of us chubby gals had on 2 pieces. My daughter and her generation do such a better job of loving themselves! You should hear her and her palsā¦they are so supportive of others and so accepting ofā¦well everything. Seeing these kids (20 years old) gives me hope for our future. These kids are smart, and are more globally and socially conscious than we were at that same age. By āweā, I mean my generation. There is hope, these kids are going to help the planet and the people.
It doesnāt have to be a string bikini! They make some adult sized woman tops that have support and structure. Hahaha! Iāve also lost some weight and understand fully the fluid like nature of loose skin. We could try stuffing it into a tiny suit, but gravity and motion will have other plans!
As for me this week:
I am still waiting to hear back from that 3rd and final interview! They said this week was their goal and now I am so nervous and excited!
Fencing class is going great! I have my beginner tournament next Tuesday! It will just be with the others in my class. Not a true tournament yet! My youngest son (13) is the reason I started. Since I had to be there anyway, I figured fencing was better than sitting and on my phone. I am covered in bruises! But I am having the time of my life! Itās the best stress reliever imaginable! Itās a great workout and the aggression you get to use makes you feel tired and satisfied after!
My garden is exploding in sprouts!! I did kind of some seed chaos out there so Iām not sure what will come up where. No sunflowers for me yet, but yours are gorgeous @Ostara!
I took a half day of PTO today and should likely get started. My friend ātrimmedā her aloe plant and gave me all the cuttings! Iām not even exaggerating when I say 40 lbs of aloe!!!
Iām so excited as I am currently sunburned! I will have to freeze most of it since Iāll never be able to use it inside the month. Which Iāve read is about the max you should keep it in the fridge. Please send me all of your aloe recipes, tips, tricks, and magik!!
I think thatās it for me! Crossing my fingers on this job!

Iām leaning this way, too. Today is Wednesday and Iāve not heard from here since the day she cancelled last minute on me - a week ago Monday! I think the signs are pointing to me just accepting that I wasted most of this Spring just waiting on her, and move along. Iām sorry about it, but itās hardly worth getting myself in a twist over. (sigh) Sometimes people will just let your down, and thatās that.

@shanna5 good luck with your fencing tournament, definitely a great stress reliever it sounds so much fun. When we go to Greece both of us always get sunburnt on the second day! We get plain yoghurt from the supermarket put it all over and wait for it to dry then shower it off. We do it over two days and we are right then. It takes the heat out of skin?

@Feathertip I am sorry that you have been let down. It is both upsetting and frustrating as you have put so much effort into preparing for your project. Donāt give up. I would try to contact her again as you were happy with the work she has done for your neighbour. However, I would also set yourself a cut off point as you do need to get your cottage garden underway and finished before autumn sets in and to find another landscaping company. Contractors tend to take too much work on and then flint from one job to another trying to keep every client happy. The problem with that is if something does no go right then you might not see them for days and they come up with anything they can think of to not come. We have had a Building Company who did that in the end we decided to end the Contract we finished the extension ourselves. I was at one point wading through water to put my washing machine on as the whole bottom and garage had no roof! Once they finished the shell we let them go and did not pay the last instalment. I chatted with another landscape company today just about removing the dead trees and planting new. Hubby is all in, and is willing to cut the trees down himself (our City chipper will take them), but we do need a landscape crew to dig out all the roots and install the new trees.
We may get the ball rolling on that as soon as next week. This company invited me to drive over with a few photos, pick out my new trees, and settle on a date and time. It felt refreshing to hear someone say Yes!

Just have to say that this is gorgeous!!! I especially like the clouds. I struggle with painting them, so I admire how you blended them so nicely into the blue sky. Looks awesome!

@Feathertip great news that you have found another Company and they are going to give you a start date and have asked you to go to see them instead of them coming to you, That is good as you will get to see their premises and get a feel of their work as they will probably show you completed jobs.

Oh by the way your entry for the witch challenge was interesting. I will have to give it some thought as I have not had to really be discreet as my family and friends know and as you know in the UK it is seen different than other places ie, BBC, ITV etc always show the Solstices and people generally donāt even notice they are too wrapped up in their own bubbles.
