Merry Meet Monday - Witchy News of the Week (Dec 15 - 21) ☀

Well I made it through the sleep study and actually got some sleep. Although, as usual in a new place, and with 1000 wires stuck all over me, it took me a few hours to actually get to sleep. Hopefully they got all the data they need and I don’t have to do it again. Getting there and back was a breeze thanks to Lyft and Uber. Even got to see the Christmas lights of the Houston Galleria on the way.

Now I’m home, showered to get all the glue out of my hair, breakfasted and now plan to nap with Rusty, who wondered where I was last night. (He considers Eric a poor substitute)

Glad you’re on the other side of this! I once managed a neurologists office and one of them was very involved with sleep studies. There’s a lot involved. I hope you get good information from it - good luck!

I’m going in to see the orthopedic today - talking about non-steroidal knee injections. I hope we can do it today, just so I can quit thinking about it!

@Eira_of_the_Living_Hearth - hoping your sinuses calm down soon! Happy birthday again, sweetie!

A warm, happy birthday!

You’re better off than I would be. If I am in a new place, I don’t sleep. Rest well, now that it’s over.

Do doctors understand that sleep is affected by being watched? The more they put a body through, the higher the stress, and the lower the quality of information that can be gathered. Since the only time I snore is under stress, they’d get false positives and expect them to be common or even normal.

Good luck!

Thanks hon! I’m back, and it went fine, and my kneecaps are each boasting a new bandaid. :joy: I did get the non-steroidal shots, which apparently take a few weeks to kick in, and act more as a lubricant to the cartilage and bone for more fluidity of movement.

I was also told to stand down on doing any type of yoga or PT movements that involve being in tabletop posture - ie, on hands and knees. I’m bummed about that, because the “bird dog” alone has been very strengthening overall. :frowning: I’ll have to come up with some alternative. Anyway, yay! It’s done.

@Greenbriar I’m happy you got your sleep study over with and actually got some sleep through it! I haven’t been to the Galleria area during Christmas time in over 40 years! I remember the ice skating rink and I also remember not ice skating!

I think it’s been about that long since I’ve been there. I remember when my parents used to visit my first hubby and I at Thanksgiving, we took them to the Galleria one year for the tree lighting ceremony, another year we did the downtown Thanksgiving Day parade. Driving past the Galleria in a Lyft or Uber vehicle is about my limit these days!
