Congrats on your two-week streak, @Greenbriar! You rock!

Not a whole lot on tap this week for me. I finally gave in and made myself an appointment with my orthopedic doctor, hopefully knee injections will be involved. So yay! But also, boo! I don’t like going to any doctor these days.

I’m ready for the quiet of the new Moon. Definitely ready for Yule! It will be much more meaningful this year for me. :sparkles: :christmas_tree: :candle:

I hope everyone has a wonderful week and blessed Sabbit!

Wow! A two week streak - posts and hearts! I’m retired, what can I say? I love this place

My big thing this week is that I am going in tomorrow for an overnight sleep study. The past year on CPAP really hasn’t been working for me. Quite apart from having issues getting to sleep in the first place (which seems better now after the purchase of a new pillow), the treatment was actually causing my central apnea events to increase.

So tomorrow’s study is to try out an “adaptive servo-ventilation” machine. Wish me luck!

The good thing is that my medicare advantage plan provides, free of charge, transportation to and from medical appointments. That means i won’t have to drive all the way into the Houston Medical Center in rush hour tomorrow, and the next morning to get home.

Congratulations dear!

I wondered if that would happen. I know I have apnea occasionally. I actually stop breathing during the day, mostly when the wind is too strong coming in a window or I’m healing from a cold. Still, I’m leery of going to a doctor for it. I’d rather not use a machine to keep me alive if it’s my time, but that’s just me. I think dying in my sleep is the best way to go.

Good luck with the new machine.

I’ve given up on planning a week ahead. Every time I do anything, I end up with a new fever the next day, so I’m on self care to the best of my ability until this pattern breaks. It’s breaking habits which weren’t sustainable in the first place, so I can accept it. No pain, just annoyance that things are piling up, knowing I’ll be just as annoyed when I can finally start getting after the work. Now is the best time to relax.

:tada: Congratulations on the shout-out and the two-week streak!:tada: Thank you for sharing so much of your wisdom and love with the group.

Wishing you a smooth and productive appointment that hopefully provides pain relief! :crossed_fingers: :white_heart:

Wishing you the best of luck with the new machine! I hope it works well and helps!

This week is a busy one for me with 2 doctor’s appointments and repeat eye surgery for Newt on Thursday. Got the tree up and decorated in typical cat appropriate fashion… no breakable ornaments and nothing on the lower half of the tree

Other than that, making soups and stews to keep us warm through this Arctic snap - temps at or below freezing. Last night was Tucson White Bean and Vegetable soup :steaming_bowl:

Here’s Aja, making sure the tree doesn’t escape.

Luckily, none of them have shown any tendency to climb it or eat it.

First of all, congratulations @Greenbriar! You’re on your way to the Hall of Fame!

Eh, I hope you don’t need anything more than a few injections to get you through the winter. I know that’s probably not how it works, but I can still hope, right?

You are a braver person than I! I’ve done that once, but it was long, long ago. I probably need to do it again. It’ll happen when I finally have enough problems with my sleep to give in, I guess.

I had a CPAP for a while. It made me feel like my eardrums were going to explode while trying to breathe in a windstorm. I did not like it. I hope they can find one that’ll work for you!

That’s a great thing! Good luck!

After all that mess of moving and cleaning, maybe your body has just broken down and decided it’s time to rest. After that, hopefully you’ll start getting back to normal! Sending you good vibes!

Sending you and Newt much love! Hopefully, all appointments will go well this week!

Love the tree! That’s hilarious! I used to have a cat, AB, who would climb the tree and sleep in the branches. Without knocking hardly anything down! He was a good cat.

That sounds good! Keep warm!

You’re very lucky there!

Went out before the butt crack of dawn this morning to go to my first doctor’s appointment. It was -2F at the time. It’s warmer now but still cold, in the 20s. My appointments both went well, and I was in and out, home early, so despite freezing my bits off, everything went smoothly.

It was definitely colder than a witch’s tit out, though. I had a coat on and wasn’t that cold.

I still have to go out two more days this week, so wish me luck! It’s going to be a long week!

Have a good one, folks!

Congratulations @Greenbriar for the 2 week streak! You are a true blessing to the Coven!

@Feathertip I hope your appointment goes good and they get you better.

@Greenbriar GreenbriarI remember driving my mom to do a sleep study. Hers was on 1960 thank the gods. If I would’ve had to drive downtown I would’ve slept in the car!

@georgia get some rest and take care of yourself!

@Artemisia and @Greenbriar your trees are beautiful! I remember when my son was just learning to walk, we put the tree in the play pen so he wouldn’t knock it over! That worked out pretty good.

@Amethyst I’m glad your appointments went well and stay warm!

As for me, tonight is my last night off. I’ve been working on my witch room and time flies when your having fun, right? Someday when I die, my kids are going to go in that room and know that’s where all of their inheritance money went! It’s a slow process because I get overwhelmed and have to walk away. It’s alot better then it was. I actually know where my tools, my candles, my fake candles, and my candle holders are. I’m still working on books and cards and miscellaneous junk. A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step, right?

I hope everyone has a beautiful, magickal week!

It’s better than paying taxes on your inheritance! I’m glad you got some stuff done, though!

Thanks, love! Hopefully, it’ll get warmer tomorrow.

Good luck! Technology continues to improve for sleep apnea treatment, so stay hopeful! Crossing my fingers for you. How fabulous that you don’t have to get in the traffic to get to Houston Medical. Every time I hopped on I-45 South it seemed there would be some kind of traffic jam. Yuck!

Love the picture of Aja guarding the tree! :joy:

I hope you can do just that! You’ve been non-stop since the move, and taking time to just relax sounds in order.

@Artemisia - Your tree decorating style is brilliant! Nothing within easy reach of those inquisitive little paws. :paw_prints:

Love and hugs to you and Newt! Here’s hoping everything goes smoothly for you both.

@Amethyst - One appointment down, two to go! Glad it went well despite the frigid temperatures.

It’s been frigid in my neck of the woods, too - supposed to start warming up later this week, but we’ll see.

It does - but I’m so happy you had the time off to just play at home! I’m glad you got your beautiful witchy room in order, or at least got a good start with it. Hope you have a relaxing night off tonight - enjoy it, sweetie!

Thanks Feathertip the room is looking better. There is still work to do, but a big chunk of it’s done. I may put my Yule altar together to celebrate my accomplishments!
