:yule_wreath: WITCH CHALLENGE - Holiday Crafting

Merry meet,

Thank you once again to all those who joined in for the previous Witch Challenge - A Witch’s Library :grimoires:

After perusing the pages of our bookish collections, we’re opening up a new chapter - it’s time to get crafty in the Craft for the holidays!

The theme for this challenge is inspired by the season, and is…

:sewing_needle::spell_pouch: Holiday Crafting :hammer: :jar:

Making homemade gifts, decor, and magickal items for the season

The holiday season is here and it’s time to get crafty! Everyone knows the greatest gifts are those that come from the heart, and one of the best ways to imbue love into objects is by making them by hand. We’re highlighting all holiday crafts, projects, and spells that bring joy during the dark season.

Whether you sew spell pouches, weave magick into garlands, carve figurines for your altar, stew intentions into a simmer pot, or any other crafty activities, if you’re doing it with hand and with heart, we’d love to hear about it!

Just wanted to say that while digging through the forum and main site for resources to include in this challenge, there were so many beautiful crafts, spells, photos, and more shared over the years. I doubled up on photos to feature in the challenge, but it’s just a teeny tiny sampling - if you’re looking for more inspiration, please browse the crafts tag and use the search tool. We’re blessed with a lot of talented crafters in this space and there’s a lot to see and enjoy!

Shout-out to all the magickal crafters: I can’t wait to see what everyone will do for this challenge! Happy creating :heart: :sparkles:

Well, now I guess I must make the crochet bow garland I’ve been looking at :joy: or a crocheted ring advent calendar like we used to make in school, but reusable and not made from paper lol

Ah! My mortal enemy! CRAFTS!

I once gave my fingers third degree burns making reindeer out of candy canes. We’ll have to see what I can figure out. And if I’m any better at it now.

Oh, broomsticks! This is really going to be a challenge! What to do…

That sounds awesome! :star_struck:

Defeat thine enemy - smite them down! Just kidding, just kidding, no more smiting. We need to protect your fingers from any more accidental burns :wink: :heart:

Rest assured that “crafting” for this challenge is open to interpretation. A craft can be anything you make - that includes spell bottles, amulets, knot charms, sigils, potions and brews, etc. Feel free to craft something with words! You are a very talented writer, Amethyst. Let your creativity be free! :grinning_face:

Sometimes the hardest part of the challenge is coming up ideas, but no fear! I’ll repeat the same thing I said above to Amethyst: a craft is anything you make. That includes everything from writing to drawing to cooking to making tea to designing sigils and so much more. I’d warmly encourage browsing through the crafts tag here in the forum for more ideas - there are so many ways to manifest things!

Whatever you choose to do, I hope you have fun with it. Good luck and blessed be! :heart:
