Actually, vets donāt take birds around here. Birds as small as Albus tend to hide illness until it is too late as a matter of ingrained social safety. Other birds will attack a sick or weak bird to remove it from the food and keep the flock as healthy and strong as possible. After a lifetime of owning birds, Iām learning the symptoms. There still isnāt much I can do to help, though. Birds tend to be picky eaters, so theyād avoid birdie cough syrup (
). Thank you for the concern, though.
Thanks to all the well wishes! Albus is flying around a bit more, today, telling me to go get lunch.

Awww, thank you, Albus! How did you know birdsong is one of my favorite sounds. I could listen to birds sing all day! I have trees in my backyard and in the Spring they are full of sparrows, blue jays, cardinals, and some very beautiful gray and yellow birds. I love to spend Sunday mornings in my chair in my room and listen to them sing and chatter to each other!
