Congratulations to @katharina and @Eira_of_the_Living_Hearth! Way to go, y’all! You are awesome!

I’m about to be off to my weekly doctor’s appointment, and other than that, I’ve got a pretty chill week coming up. Need to do some more cleaning. Fun times. But the Yule stuff is out of the living room! So yay!

I’m going to try to finish up my spell and post it tonight for the Witchy Challenge. Then I need to figure out what I’m doing for Imbolc. It’s almost here!

Hope everyone has a good week!

:tada: Congratulations :tada: on the shout outs :tada: and thank you for sharing so much of your wisdom @katharina and love @Eira_of_the_Living_Hearth :folded_hands:t2:

Heading out to take care of adoptable kitties at the shelter and seeing how that goes today. I was cleaning trails yesterday and tripped over barbwire once and briar vines another. Too old to be faceplanting , sore as heck today :joy:

Other than that it’s a catch up kind of week with a big batch of the best vegetarian chili for tonight!

Congrats on the shout-outs, you fabulous witches! @katharina on a two-week streak!

@Amethyst - I hope your appointment goes smoothly!

I’m glad you mentioned it- something fun to look forward to! My Mom’s birthday is on Feb 3rd and I usually just focus on that.

 You’re doing good work out there, to be sure! But gracious, take care! We can expect those gnarly vines and broken roots to watch out for, but barbed wire can be nasty. Feel better soon! Hope the new kitties get adopted soon. :grinning_cat_with_smiling_eyes:

That’s the best way to make it. :face_savoring_food:

I’m happy to have a quiet week ahead - at last! All the holiday stuff is totally put away, got caught up on laundry (thankless chore) and weather depending, we ~may~ go out for my birthday - I don’t want to drive if the weather is icky.

And I hope to fool around in the art room! :artist_palette:

Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Congratulations! Keep up the great work!

Does the owner believe it’s better a worker faceplanting rather than a guest who can sue? Sorry to hear you fell so often. Feel better soon.

Thank you. For all the times no one said so: thank you. To all who do such thankless chores: thank you.

Inspections by owner either today or tomorrow. Swept under the cages, today. I’ve been super slow, but at least things are getting done a little at a time. At the same time, the days have been flying by super fast. It seems like no sooner do I get lunch out of the way, it’s time for supper! Since nothing is getting done in the afternoons, I have taken to getting something done when Albus first gets up, before I get lost in a computer or tablet or fall asleep for the day. That way, I can write out my to do lists and set priorities before dawn, when I am my most ambitious.

I’ve heard that shower curtain liners can be permeable on one side and catch water on the other. Been having trouble with leaks, lately, so I flipped my current shower curtain liner. Ended up with a flood! Well, the bathroom floor had a deeper cleaning! Note to self: avoid Dollar Tree shower curtain liners for a while. Maybe I can use the old liner for artwork.

Albus had flu symptoms while I was sick: stopped singing, moving around, and eating. In the dark of winter, these symptoms can be deadly for a little bird. It was scary noticing that he wasn’t interested in eating greens. My usual pattern of daytime activities in another room seemed to exacerbate the issue, so I spent more time in the bedroom, pushing my lunchtime back in the day (which upset him) and playing more nature sounds as his daily music. He seems to have returned to his usual singing and eating habits. Still slow at increasing activities, but I can understand the reluctance. For a time, he actually asked me to light candles: probably due to a chill in the bedroom which neither of us is used to. Both of us started feeling better when I turned up the heater one degree.

Thank you for letting me vent. Hope everyone has a great week!

:hugs: You’re an angel!

Nothing can make me like it, though. :basket: :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

I didn’t know you were subject to that - good luck! It sounds like you’re on top of everything, so you should be fine. Aside from that, given the state of general nastiness that you inherited, I’d say the owner should be thanking you for all your efforts!

I’m glad Albus is feeling better! It sounds like he is always so in tune with how you’re doing, too. You two have a wonderful bond.

Happy Monday all! :crescent_moon::sparkles:

Happy Birthday to @TiffanyT18, wishing you a bright, magical new year around the sun! :birthday_cake:

A huge warm welcome to all of our new members from last week: @silas, @mary30, @shahla, @rebecca6, @malika, @aster, @ashley9, @victoria3, @britanie1, @hannah2, @chasity, @vicky, @laurie1, @amy8, @Jess, @AubreyB, @brooklyn, @jason9, @maureen2, @SorsWorld, @betty3, @Kansaswitch, and @autumn4! I’m so glad you’ve found your way here and hope this space feels welcoming, inspiring, and supportive as you explore your paths.

I’m especially excited for this week’s New Moon and Day of Danu, such a beautiful time for intention-setting, grounding, and new beginnings. I’m also incredibly grateful that my oracle deck challenge was included in the newsletter, thank you for that little moment of magic and support, Bry! :sparkles:

Thank you so much for the shout-out for giving out the most hearts last week, I truly appreciate all of your congratulations. And a big thank you to @katharina for another wonderful week of sharing wisdom and insight, two weeks strong!:sparkles:

On the personal front, I start physical therapy tomorrow and I’m almost finished with home health after my hysterectomy, and I’m happy to say my incision is finally closed! :tada: Healing feels slow until suddenly it isn’t. I’m also continuing work on my January 1st 12-card Tarot draw and mapping out my study plan for the year.

Today my daughter and I are planning to share a cozy pot of tea in honor of National Hot Tea Day :teacup_without_handle::purple_heart:, and I’ve got a few dragon pictures ready to go up around my altar for Appreciate a Dragon Day on Friday, because dragons absolutely deserve their own altar moment. :dragon::sparkles:

Wishing everyone a gentle, magical week ahead.
Blessed Be! :herb: :dizzy: :sparkling_heart:

Yesss!!! Plus, it´s a full moon…this is even more exciting!

I feel you! Wishing you speedy recovery and hopefully no bruises!

Oh, no…poor little fellow! I hope he is doing better already!! :purple_spell_candle:

How cute is this? I didn´t even know such a day exists, but I´m so here for it!!!

I´m wishing all of you a magical, blessed, sparkling, exciting week and all the good vibes you can possibly handle!! :purple_heart: :dizzy:

Igh. I’m sorry love! I hope you’re okay today.

That sounds like more fun than clearing trails!

Thanks, love! It went well!

The best people are born in February! Tell your Mom happy early birthday from a strager in WV for me! LOL!

Yay! I got one done, but not the other. I’m working on it.

Happy Early Birthday to you too! I don’t want to miss it.

Good luck! I hope everything goes well!

Oops. That’s one thing I spend money on usually. Because I like a fabric curtian that doesn’t need a liner. It’s worth the extra money.

I hope Albus is okay. Do you have a vet or someone you can talk to? Do you have bird cough syrup? I found some good honey cough syrup recipes today that I intend to post, maybe that would help.

Congratulations! That’s great! And I’m wondering why I didn’t have extra therapy when I had my hysterectomy. Huh.

How nice! I didn’t know until just a little bit ago that it was National Hot Tea Day. I’ll have to make myself a cup.

I kinda hope our Tea Ritual this Thursday is focused on dragons. That would be fun!

There’s so much I want to do, I have to figure out what I’m doing and what order I’m doing it in!

Love your laundry thing, btw. Because that is SO true.

Unless you’re a nudist. And then there are towels to wash.

Right! The therapy is to help strengthen my abs, so my broken-down spine has a little more support. My surgery was extensive. Still a lot of healing needs to happen on the inside.

That would be amazing! I love dragons! I wish I had one! Especially a white luck dragon named Falcor lol!

Ah. They just cut me open and melonballed my insides out, luckily for me. I hope your therapy goes well!

I’d rather have a Fire Lizard, like from the Pern books. Little mini dragons. So cute!

Congratulations to @katharina and @Eira_of_the_Living_Hearth!

Like others, I’m cruising towards a slow week. But I am going to put up a Dragon on Friday!

I was really happy to see Bry put a link to @Eira_of_the_Living_Hearth’s new Oracle area. here on the Witch News of the Week. It’s a totally fun exercise.

Oh sister, I’m glad you’re making progress! :hugs: That’s something to celebrate while you have your tea tonight. :teapot:

I promise here and now to work this in to Fun Friday this week. I love it!

@katharina - Gee, when you put it that way about laundry, I’ll have to be grateful that I’ll never be alone. Thanks for the laugh!

Aww, thank you babe! I will! She’ll be tickled.

I’m happy to see it, too. She worked hard on it and they’re so beautiful. :sparkling_heart:

Aww shucks, guys! You’re gonna make me blush! :heart_hands: :sparkling_heart:

What does everyone have planned for Imbolc?

Congratulations @katharina and @Eira_of_the_Living_Hearth!

@Amethyst I hope your appointment went well. I still haven’t put my Yule decor away. You have inspired me, so down with the Yule and up with the Imbolc this week!

@Artemisia that barbwire and briar vines can be trippy! I’m such a clutz I literally trip over nothing sometimes! I have learned not to try to catch myself because I just hurt myself worse. Face plant it is!

@Eira_of_the_Living_Hearth good luck with your physical therapy, that’s never fun.

@katharina that meme is hilarious because it’s so true!

@georgia I’m happy you and Albus are feeling better. Stay warm!

@Feathertip Happy Birthday to you and your Mom! My daughter’s birthday is today and my birthday is February 6.

@dan3 I’m looking forward to seeing your dragon on Friday. I’ve gotten a little behind on my Runes, but I will get back to them today.

This is my Friday, but not really because I’m on call for the next 4 nights.

I hope everyone has a beautiful, magical week!

Congratulations @katharina and @Eira_of_the_Living_Hearth on your shoutouts. Thank you for all you do in the forum!

@Artemisia sorry to hear about your fall. Not fun. Perhaps a nice soak in a hot bath with epsom salts will help you feel better.

@georgia I’m glad both you and Albus are feeling better now. It’s always so worrying when our companions (furry or feathered) aren’t feeling well. Also I hope the inspection goes well.

Nothing planned for this week, except the garden club board meeting on Friday.

I did a bit of tidying in my office/computer/art room. Since I had got in to mixed media and acrylic painting my desk had become so cluttered with art supplies it was hard to do any art on it. When I was in Hobby Lobby I had purchased some storage boxes and today, I cleared a bunch of stuff off my desk and put it in the storage boxes (labeled so I can find stuff when I need it) and put the boxes on the shelf unit in the corner. So now there actually room to do art on my art desk :star_struck:

It did, thank you! And I’m glad to have motivated someone. Now if only I could motivate myself. LOL!

I hope you get to enjoy your time off without too many call-outs!

Yay for being organized. That’s half the problem of getting to do anything, you can’t find your stuff.

Thanks Amethyst I don’t mind being called this week because the way my days fall it will be a short check if I don’t work over.

Good luck being called in then! I hope you get the time you need.
