Merry Meet Monday: Witchy News of the Week (June 15 - 21) 🌻

Congratulations @underwaxingmoon and @Eira_of_the_Living_Hearth!

@Feathertip I’m sorry your knees are hurting. I hope you can get some relief soon.

@Greenbriar it’s muddy outside, but the garden is loving it. Hopefully we don’t get much more or we’re going to need a boat!

@Amethyst I’m happy your chiropractor helped you out.

@Eira_of_the_Living_Hearth sending love your way, it seems like I lose my footing daily, but I’m trying to stay balanced.

@georgia come visit me. I just happen to live in the Watermelon Capitol of the world and there are watermelons everywhere. Good luck with your house inspection! I know you will do great.

@Artemisia your landscaping will be gorgeous. I’m looking forward to seeing it when it’s done.

@shanna5 painting with beeswax does sound cool! I’m looking forward to seeing your artwork!

Not much going on around here this week. My garden is still cranking out the veggies.

I hope everyone has a beautiful week and a happy Litha!

On the way back from a doctor appointment today, we drove right into a storm. I’m glad I wasn’t driving, I couldn’t see past the hood of the car. Luckily the Lyft driver was driving very safely and carefully and thankfully so was everyone else.

I checked the rain gauge after it had stopped and we had almost 3 inches in about an hour! At least we didn’t get flooded like some areas around town did.

Wow! I hope that went well for you!

I know you must be on edge because of that. Maybe a ritual for mental calm and clarity would be in order. I’m sending lots of lucky and patient vibes your way.

Hopefully the rain will let off because the ground is saturated. I’m happy your drive to your appointment went well and your not flooded. I have about 2 inches of water around my garden. I’m glad I raised the rows before I planted.

I went through a moment where I was really interested in Tai Chi and took some local classes, but all the levels were mixed together in one class and I struggled as a beginner  I remember searching online and there are great videos to follow at your own pace. I’m afraid I can’t remember a specific teacher/channel, but if you search on YouTube you’re sure to find some great introductory Tai Chi videos. Good luck and have fun!

You are cracking me up!! Hahaha! Never TMI! I am a Pisces! What does oversharing mean?!

Dowinx Gaming Chair. This is the one that I got from Amazon. But that brand has a lot of options if that style doesn’t suit you. I was very impressed by the quality at that price point. The lumbar pillow flips over and gives you a massage…heated massage!!

I got 2nd place at my tournament!!

I am in the purple shoes! It was so fun!! I can’t believe I started fencing at 43 and have found so much joy in it! If you have a fencing gym near you, just go check it out. It is a great workout and surprisingly easy on my joints.

Still waiting on the interview results! I have switched to white candles near jade and aventurine to compensate. Hahaha! I am fresh out of green candles! Maybe I should switch to red to maybe expedite this answer!!

ooo! Message me a link when you can!

The bell gliders on this chair sound much better than the little brakes - which do indeed trip themselves off at times.

Glad you’re feeling better today!

I need to get back to that again. I checked locally and didn’t find anything close, so I opted for online.

I used to watch videos on YouTube - Freshfield Fitness was the channel I liked - she has lots of options for seniors, people with limited mobility etc. as well as more advanced stuff.

Thank you beautiful. Any energy is welcome. I have none. My tank is empty.

I hope your load gets lighter soon, Sis. :hugs: Here’s wishing you love and light for this coming Summer Solstice! :folded_hands: :sparkles:

Thank you, sis. I wish I could say the load will get lighter, but it won’t. The load will only get heavier starting next month. I don’t want to be a Debbie Downer, so I won’t go into details. Just know I appreciate immensely all the love and support you give.

I wish I could wiggle my nose or wave my wand and change everything! Thank you for the extra strength, love. I’m gonna need it.

sending love your way, it seems like I lose my footing daily, but I’m trying to stay balanced.

Thank you, beautiful. You’re doing better than me! At this point, I’m sliding downhill on my butt! What the heck is balance?!

Thank you all for your love and well wishes. I’ll check in when I can. I still have tons of hearts to give out!

Blessed Be :herb: :dizzy:

Congratulations @shanna5 on your 2nd place win! That’s awesome!

@Artemisia I don’t know anything about Tai Chi, but I always see commercials on Tai Chi for Seniors. It seems AI knows I’m an old and out of shape. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

@Eira_of_the_Living_Hearth be gentle with yourself. Things will get better.

@Amethyst I was looking at an old cookbook that I have from the 1930’s, and I thought you might get a laugh at a few of the recipes. Also, if you need a recipe for fried squirrel just let me know!

Congratulations!! :trophy:

That’s just awesome. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: So happy for you! And clearly, you’re pretty darn good at it!

You got it, sis. No worries about being a Debbie Downer - none of us would expect you to suppress your truth. Got that?

@Ostara - OMG - that cookbook… Well, these recipes might be just what you need if there’s a Zombie apocalypse. :man_zombie:

Fried squirrel - my aunt and uncle were good country folk in rural Missouri…he’d shoot a few squirrels, bag 'em, tote 'em back home and she’d skin them, cut them up and drop them into a pan of hot oil.

And when we were visiting…we ate it. :frowning:

my grandpa used to make headcheese, I always thought it was something he just made up :joy: I never ate it, never liked how it looked lol.

That’s nice, but I found a nice wide one thanks to you! I like a bit of room for my bum, and they have Criss Cross chairs so that you can sit with your legs crossed! I won’t, but I didn’t know that was even an option. I may have to wait a month to get it, but I like the looks of that one. It doesn’t have the massage, but man, it is cushy and comfy looking with lots of room! Thank you for the link!

YAY! Congratulations! Our own D’Artagnan! I’m sure the purple shoes helped you win.

Not a bad idea, but you don’t want them to rush to the wrong decision.

Will do!

Yeah, that’s what I’m thinking. And sometimes those brakes break. LOL!

I get that. I realize that my blahs are the start of my depression, so yeah. Gonna have to talk to my doctor when I go later this month. Just try to keep your spirits up and the Wheel will turn!

Actually, there’s squirrel hunting in the area here in the fall, and Squirrel gravy is a delicacy around here. I don’t get it. Despite the fact that they’re cute and fluffy, there can’t be enough meat on them to make much! But yeah. A couple of the boys would bring stuff like that in their school lunch boxes when I was a kid. Urgh. I live in hunting country, where people skip Thanksgiving for hunting. I am so not surprised.

You poor things. I am so glad my Dad hated hunting. Hunting up the pizza place number was his kind of thing, although he did have a fondness for Swedish/Norwegian and white fish that was scary.

@Amethyst when I was growing up, I would ask my mom what was for supper. If she said ā€œmeatā€, I knew it was rabbit, squirrel, or deer. Meat meant I was just going to make me a grilled cheese!

Haha! I was raised in rural Missouri and can definitely see this happening!

Peanut butter and jelly. That way, you don’t even have to be in the kitchen to warm it up! Just grab your stuff and go.

Oh yeah, it happened all right! I bet you do know! And my mom (sister to my uncle, the great squirrel-hunter) would threaten us kids if we didn’t politely eat everything that was set out for us.

What a funny experience as a kid. I imagine not growing up around it, you all thought it was hilarious! Our family wasn’t eating squirrels. My grandma would have likely hexed us if we had! She has always had a space in her heart for the little terrors! I love them too now. But we definitely had some extended family ā€œbumpkinsā€ down south that were probably neighbors to your uncle!
