@dan3 buying lavender by the pound is a great idea! I have tried growing it with no luck. The only thing I have bought by the pound is bay leaves. I now have a lifetime supply! Iāve been afraid to buy anything by the pound after that, but I can never have enough lavender. I have a lavender farm about 15 minutes away. Maybe I should ask them how to grow it in the Texas heat!
Thank you @Feathertip, I have 2 huge rosemary plants. Years ago my hubby had bought me a little christmas tree rosemary plant. I knew I was going to kill it anyway, so I planted it outside. That little plant took off! In 2021 we had a freak snowstorm and it killed my rosemary.
There are some pretty thick branches towards the bottom. When I lost my rosemary bush to the snowstorm, I kept a big branch to dry my herbs from. That made me feel a little better about losing it. At least Iām keeping the spirit alive.
More power to you on that one! My grandkids wear me out. Now I know why we have kids when weāre young!
Usually itās just one or two. But today there is no school and Iāll have all 4. Aged 3, 5, 7, and 10. I am not prepared for this at all. I will be wore out by the end of the day for sure. I may even nap with the littlest after lunchtime. Lol
Some of my fondest memories of childhood was being with my grandmother. I didnāt get to see her very often because she lived in another state. I have 3 grandchildren in Colorado and 1 in south Texas and I wish I could see them more. Iāve only seen my granddaughter in south Texas once. Her 1st birthday is May 23rd. My youngest grandson is in Colorado and his birthday is May 24th, and then my second to the oldest grandson will be 15 on May 26th. My oldest granddaughter is a sophomore at Texas A&M and my oldest grandson is a freshman at the University of Texas. Time flies!
I didnāt have children, so no grandkids here. Sometimes I wish I did have at least one, but then I also cherish my āmeā time and afternoon naps, so perhaps itās best that I donāt have any. I hope your young ones are good today and that you are able to enjoy a nap with the littlest one after lunch.
@Mystique
Iām so happy for you, you give out so much love and I just thank you for your love and support! @jayne
Hi Jane I just wanted to thank you for your ongoing contribution to the coven! I really appreciate sending you love back!
For me, I germinated my seeds and I put them in a pot and nothing is happening, so I donāt know what I did wrong!! I wonder if I should get some more seeds and start all over again.??
Anyhow, on the flipside, I do have a lot of sage and I have another, I should probably do some pruning!!
I would like to start earthing and not wearing shoes so that way Iām grounded, but Iām so stuck in my way sometimes wearing shoes!!
Jeannie
@Jeannie1 donāt give up on them just yet ā sometimes, all the action is happening underground, where they are busy putting out a nice root structure before putting energy into growing above ground.
I would like to go barefoot in the back yard, but next door has a Sweetgum tree that likes to drop itās seed balls in our back yard and those things are worse than a Lego to step on barefoot!
Do an online search for ābarefoot shoesā or āgrounding shoesā - I know Iāve seen some ads for those recently, but havenāt really checked into them.
Hi, once again late to the party & not even fashionably late this time I hope everyone had a wonderful week. It didnāt dawn on me until Thursday night/Friday morning that it had been a week since I had returned.
It was a bit hectic this week⦠Monday my daughter had a dentist appointment but also, last minute this & that for her first prom. Which was Thursday night for her boyfriendās school which is about an hour away. I actually think itās more than that So Wednesday night her best friend spent the night & they did all the things for hair, skin, & colors. Thursday morning my neighbor took her to pick up the dress. I went and picked up the florals & came home with a plant baby that needed saving.
He got here and we did some pictures here then they were off to prom. Which also happened to be my oldestās birthday. So my oldest turned 26 while my 16 year old went to her first prom. No stress there!
Yesterday was sort of a rest day. I still have a lot to do with plantings & cuttings & the things. Iāll get to them, but Iāve had quite the week so Iām trying to keep it simple
Here you know what I mean because I did feel like giving up and rushed to buy some new seeds that Iām gonna work with, but Iām gonna give it another week and if it doesnāt grow, Iām gonna start over. Besides that I mean, I do have some beautiful buds right now with my orchid.
Let me show you. This is the second time that itās bud so I had this plant since December I believe
Anyway thanks Jayne for the great advice and itās lovely to have you on the forum! Once I walked around everywhere barefooted and I think I got some kind of fungus or something like that or I cut myself and I stop doing it, but I do try to get in the routine because I know this witch nearby my friends house and every time I see her, she doesnāt have any shoes on and sheās really a inspiration to me because she really does the work of the witch in the room. @Susurrus
Hi Iām happy youāre daughter went to prom thatās exciting I remember those days wow sheās a maiden with her whole life ahead of her I really hope it was great
Jeannie
