Merry Meet Y'all

Hi, I’m Cat. I’m almost 65, retired, and live in Ohio near Cleveland. I live with my daughter and my ex-husband. I have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. Somehow, I always knew my reverence for nature was important, but I didn’t explore it until I hit adulthood. I finally found my spiritual home. I hope to make some friends here as I am mostly a shut in. Blessed Be!

Merry Meet, Cat. :crescent_moon::sparkles:

It’s truly lovely to meet you, and I’m so glad you shared your story. That lifelong reverence for nature has a way of waiting patiently until the right season of life opens the door, finding your spiritual home now feels less like being late and more like exactly on time.

I’m Stephanie or Eira of the Living Hearth, an eclectic witch from California, and I want you to know you’re very welcome here. Being mostly a shut-in doesn’t lessen your ability to connect or form friendships. This space exists for conversations, shared wisdom, and meeting others who understand that quieter rhythms can still hold magic.

I hope you enjoy kind souls to talk with, moments of inspiration, and a sense of belonging here. I’m really glad you found your way into the forum, Cat.
Blessed Be! :herb: :dizzy:

Sensational Sunday Cat,

So glad you came to us!!! I am a late-bloomer also. I turned 61 in December, but only the last year have I become active and acknowledged what I have been all along. Feel free to look around, so much to see. I see you just posted, you must be up late/early. I am in Vegas, midnight-thirty, I think you are 2 hr. ahead of me (CST?, I’m PST) How do you practice? A house full of others does make it interesting. I am usually up before dawn and do my oblations around daybreak (trouble sleeping tonight, been up and down a couple times already). I have a small altar on my dresser and perform my rituals outside on a tree stump in the back yard. We have a monthly tarot and lenormand pull that you are welcome to join in at any time. I already knew about tarot, but found out about Lenormand here on Spells 8. I love the Lenormand, it seems much easier to understand. Well, as you get to know me, you will find out that I tend to yap.
 I even have a thread called “yapping” that I post for the month, just to talk about whatever. So, “shut me up”….have fun and welcome

Hello and welcome @CatPurri it´s so nice to have you here! :purple_heart:

I´m Katharina, an art-witch and art therapist from Vienna, Austria! I´m practicing magick very much through art making! I love altar craft, candle making, poppet work, spell boxes, jars and all kinds of creative magic shenanignas. Working in my Book of Shadows is a big part of my pratice. I love all things tarot and practice this art since many moons.

The forum is huge and it takes time to get to know everything. The people here are very sweet and helpful, so just make yourself known if there´s any questions, someone will certainly show up to help you.

I would like to invite you to take a look at the 13 Goddesses Thread It´s a art-magical project I´ve started this year to deepen the understanding and connection to female archetypes and how they are represented in deities. Feel free to join the creative fun!
Brightest blessings! :dizzy:

Greetings @CatPurri and welcome!

My name is Kat, and I practice bioregional animism grounded in the North Carolina Piedmont. I create my own divination tools adapted to my local ecosystem, including ogham staves and seasonal tree divination sets. My practice is hands-on. I craft tools, make runes, deity figurines, and bind my own Books of Shadows. I explore the collaboration of magick and science.

There is a wonderful search function that will help you dig for more information in the forums!

We’re glad you’re here. Make yourself comfortable, explore at your own pace, and feel free to ask any questions you might have!

Love this. I am really into belief systems. Native American systems are not as well documented. If you have some good links or books, I would like to understand it more.

Yeah, by the time you get ready, go to the doctor, and make it home, you’re tired. You need a nap. Or at least I do!

Hi @CatPurri and welcome to the Infinite Roots Coven at Spells 8. We are glad you found your way to us. You will find us a diverse and friendly group of witches from all over the world. I am Jayne, an eclectic witch originally from England, but now live in Texas with my hubby and our furbabies. Like you, I have had a life long reverence for nature, but didn’t explore it and begin my spiritual path until a little over a year ago, when I was 68.

Feel free to jump into any conversation that interests you, and if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask. There’s always someone around who will be happy to jump in and help.

Bless Be!
