My BoS… on OneNote (WIP!)

I’m still in the process of listing all the contents in the first section (Cover [in-book title: Book of Shadows]) so expect updates every few weeks.:grin::grin::sparkles::sparkles::sparkles:

I have a digital BOS and a physical. And my digital is in OneNote! I love it. So easy to just search for something and everything pops up!

Digital grimoires and Book of Shadows are so freakin’ great  Mine is in Notion!

I’m off to transfer my notes to OneNote - I need that organisation in my life!

Great discipline! Making OneNote into a database system is pretty cool.

I am lazy at the moment. My BoS uses only five (maybe six) directories with sub directories under those. I also have a paper backup so I can use specific items at my work table. It is messy but it works fine for now.

Well done on your system! :heartbeat:

Here’s a virtual high five for being in the same mentality as me when it comes down to having a virtual BoS — my book of mirrors is also on OneNote. :folded_hands:

I’ve seen Notion mentioned a lot in the coven! Can you tell me more about it? Does it also have search capabilities? I wonder if it would be better than one note….

It already looks great - I applaud your organization skills, Laurel! Keep up the great work and keep on having fun with your BoS :open_book:

I use OneNote for my BoS as well. Looking at all of your sections, I almost thought the you were looking at mine! They are almost identical.

Lol! I’m actually also using OneNote for my Book of Mirrors :rofl:

I can do my best! It’s got it’s pros and cons, for sure, but I love how customizable it is. It does also have a search function, and you can also build databases and link to them in different areas. I’ll admit that mine isn’t too filled out, honestly, because most of what I know is just in my head and I haven’t had a chance to put it in my grimoire. Here are some screenshots!

I haven’t done a video walkthrough of my grimoire, but I did make a personal library Notion template with a video that shows some of the functionality.

Oh thank you so much @MeganB
Is it free too?

You’re welcome! And yes, it’s free! :tada: They have a pro version that has more capabilities, but I’ve always found the free version to be perfectly fine for what I need. I use it for my school planner, my daily life, my work stuff, my grimoire… so much :joy:

Ive been wanting to do the notion grimoire. I see so many witches using it. Currently mine is in folders in my Drive cloud but not readily searchable. I also put just random pictures in my notes folders i made. But i either want to print them all to have hard copies or use notion. Never thought of one note. Great idea. Im just not very tech savy and the thought of learning notion overwhelmed me when i downloaded it. Thank you for the video.

You’re welcome!

Notion does have a bit of a learning curve, for sure. Once you get it down, though, it’s super easy to use! I’ve thought about doing a video for my channel walking through the creation of a Notion grimoire with a template to download, but I haven’t had time to do it yet. Maybe in the next week or so because my semester is almost over!

This is really great! I usually take screenshots of things and save them to Google Keep and then I just have a big collaboration of stuff. The best I do is put tags on them so I can search my collection. I might be working on something like this to get everything organized.
