Decided to give my first (ever) lavender plant a trim…feeling very blessed
Wow! That’s great! It looks like it grew beautifully, and I bet it smells wonderful!
What a beautiful harvest from your lavender plant!
Look at that beautiful harvest! Such a lovely color
From the picture it looks like you’re all set, but as someone who made the mistake before, I just want to give a gentle reminder to make sure the lavender buds are 100% dry before closing the lid! Few things are worse than opening up the jar months from now and smelling icky mold instead of lovely lavender
Enjoy your harvest, @Angels8!
Hello! Oh goodness, thank you for the heads up! I will let it air just incase. I’m just finding littgle tiny things moving around and I don’t want an infestation of tiny bugs that could get everywhere
@Angels8 I can almost smell the Lavender from my apartment! It looks heavenly! Also, I love your Hecate Statue! (I believe it’s Hecate…)
@Angels8 Lavender, the plant that brings peace, happiness and beauty!
@Angels8 Oh my goodness - what a beautiful photo! You did a great job with your lavender plant, it obviously thrives under your care!
I can only imagine how wonderful it smells. Yay!!
Of course! We plant-lovers have to look out for one another
Agreed, nobody wants uninvited bug guests to the party! Are the moving things on the lavender? If so, is there somewhere out of the house (or in a separate space like a greenhouse, mudroom, shed, etc) you could hang/lay out the lavender to dry? That might help prevent any unwanted infestations.
@angels8 - I bet that smells wonderful. If I might add a little tip I discovered – I purchased some organza bags from Amazon and I let my herbs hang in them to dry for a period of weeks. It lets air flow through to help them dry, and stops tiny bits of herb from dropping all over my closet floor. Then, once I’m sure they are dry, I can store them in jars until I’m ready to use them.
