@Francisco my Nana baked bread for the Harvest and used to dust the loaf on top with flour and press her knife down the middle and then make little slashes to either side to create ears of wheat. She also made a slash at each side so that when the bread rose it did not spilt. My older brother and I would be waiting for it come out the oven and my Nana made more than one as she knew we would eat quite a bit with butter. It was magical days and memories.
Thank you for your post. Sadly I won’t have time to bake some bread but I can get a rustic loaf and put in the oven for a few minutes to recreate my memory of this time spent with my Nana.
