We finally got the Bird Buddy mounted in the back yard (Eric gave it to me Christmas 2024!!!) Thankfully it didn’t take another year for the birds to find it.
Wow that is fanstic does it record. Love to get one of those can I ask where it your Husband get it online. If so, would please be so kind to send me a link. Thank you.

Yes, you can get them online. www.birdbuddy.com
They connect to an app on your cell phone and send you notifications when a bird visits, with video and photos. You can also browse feeds from other bird feeders around the world.
Fair warning though, they aren’t cheap!
Thank you I will take a look. I might have to do pleading with my Husband but I think he will go for. He loves nature and birds as much as me. It sounds wonderful. I will take a deep breath and hope my money spells work ![]()

I hope your husband gets one, it will be something you can both enjoy.
Sensational Sunday Greenbriar,
Lovely!!! I have yet to see a hummingbird at my feeder. I know I put it up a little early, Imbolc, but we have had such unusually warm spring weather; I’m kind of wondering where they are.

That’s some beautiful birds. I like the red one.
Love this!! I’d probably never stop watching.
We have lots of action out there.
Thanks for sharing these pictures!
Last week I looked at a Hummingbird tracker; they had made it as far North as Indiana at that time. They should be showing up any time now at your feeder! Some flowers to catch their attention wouldn’t hurt, either - it usually is enough to get them into your yard. ![]()
I’m excited for Beltane - May is when everyone shows up for the summer around here. ![]()
So the Bird Buddy company also sell a hummingbird feeder and camera. But it’s way more than I want to spend. But in my search to see if there were any fun accessories for the one we have, I discovered a seller on Etsy that makes a little hummingbird feeder that can be mounted on it.
I had to order one!
Aww! Such a good, close-up look at birds! That’s going to be fun!
Yes it is! I’m becoming (have become) a bird nerd!!
Bird Nerd, LOVE it!!![]()
That’s so cool!
Being a fellow Bird-nerd (classic!) I will warn you - it’s quite addictive. Prepare yourself for naming and greeting all of your visitors (if you haven’t already)!
I’m afraid to even go look at the Bird Buddy site. I know I’ll have to get one. ![]()
Love it. ![]()
Watching birds or any wildlife becomes an obsession. My son-in-law got one and is busy sending us messages full of the snaps. I didn’t know he was into it. I have sent them tons of photos of me being sneaky and getting pictures with my long lens.
Being sneaky means I park my truck by the river and drink coffee until something shows up. ![]()
We had quite the rainstorm here today, with over an inch of rain in a couple of hours
Afterwards, I checked the BirdBuddy feed - here’s what it showed. Mrs. House Finch telling Mr. House Finch off for stuffing his face.
Sound up.

Oh no need to warn me, I got hooked when we first moved here and I discovered there were cardinals, bluejays, mockingbirds, woodpeckers, wrens, finches and more that visited regularly (back when the whole area was a lot more rural than it is now).
One of my greatest joys has been sitting on the patio watching the birds on the feeders, but now I can do it from indoors, close up ![]()
That is so awesome @Greenbriar! I love watching birds!!!
I also have a Bird Buddy. I did away with all social media about 6 months ago (no regrets) and the bird buddy has helped give me something to look at when I need a few minutes of downtime.
Magickal Monday,
Wow, everyone, beautiful!! Here in Vegas we have pidgeons, crows, ducks for the lakes and believe it or not
a few decades ago we ended up with SEAGULLS!!! I guess a big storm blew them in from California, I have only seen a small handfull, but Vegas now has Seagulls…whoda thunk it?

They can be very adaptable, that’s for sure!
