Hi everyone, does anyone have any tips/guidance for warding my name? I did this years ago when I was very new to the craft, however I believe it’s time for me to do it again, now that I’ve gained much more life experience (good and bad), and I need to protect myself well. Thanks for listening!

So basically, warding your name is used to place a magickal boundary around your identity to block psychic attacks, gossip, and ill intent. It’s been a belief for some people since ancient times that your name is a direct portal to your soul, so by warding it, I’d be ensuring that anytime someone speaks my name, any negative energy they may have won’t reach me or drain my energy

Sounds like a protection spell. It seems as if you could consecrate yourself. I use the word DOME as an immediate protection for my person, it stands for Don’t Obscure My Energy.
Maybe this will give you ideas.

The idea of name warding has recently become very popular on social media and I think this is a good thing. When you consider how much anonymity and privacy have been eroded by social media, it makes sense to protect your name.
The belief that knowing the true name of a person or thing grants power over them is indeed very old—with “true name” understood here as true in the sense of a spiritual truth or essence. Some witches adopted the practice of making their witch name their true name, keeping it strictly secret so that only their coven knew it.
Yes, this is exactly what it is! 
Witches have recently become very creative with it and tie all sorts of things to their name! “Whenever someone says my name, money flows to me” for example seems to be quite popular.
The ritual is simple: a piece of paper, where you write your name and date of birth, one time or three times (as you wish) and on the back of the paper you can write your statement and intention, like the one above.
You can dab some annointing oil on in and wear it in your wallet, if it was for prosperity.
But, again, you can use this method for all kinds of intentions.
“Whenever someone says my name, my spirit guides hear it and protect me from all harm”
“Whenever someone says my name, my health increases”
“Whenever someone says my name, my good luck increases”
I like to hold my pendulum over my name-paper and use the sentence as a pendulum command to energetically charge it as much as possible.
How do you do this? Can you explain more in detail plz?

I forgot that during my consecration of the word DOME, I also made the dedication so that I need only say DOME-DOME-DOME to initiate it. DOME stands for Don’t Obscure My Energy, but it also acts as a protective DOME to surround me as my temporary HOME.
That distinction I made during the consecration, so I am able to use it as an emergency protection device.

Like most witches I used my pendulum just for divination work or choosing herbs etc.
Erich Hunters workings with pendulums aim for energy transformation, which is quite fascinating. Basically the pendulum is given a “pendulum command” which is the equvivalent to a written or spoken intention.
But head over to his website and see for yourself, if this is something you would like to learn more about. He has some free basic mini-courses, has written some books and you can also find him on Instagram.
Since learning how to work with pendulum commands, I do it almost every day—especially to energetically charge my candle magic or spell jars. There are so many uses for it.

I LOVE the DOME DOME DOME shortcut!
I think this is very important. Ninety-nine percent of the time that someone comes to me, they don’t give a name (the one was a performer who showed me her name on a dressing room door).
Our names hold so much power and we have to protect it … sometimes from ourselves I think!
I think this can be - as everything in witchcraft - a very personal choice. I´ve never really hidden my witchname, but also never promoted it as well. My Instagram account is private, only a select audience gets to see my content. This might be different for witches who own a business and offer their magical services to clients.
I don´t fear someone sending negative energies or curses because I know my ancestors will have my back and (how do I put this without sounding arrogant??) I´m doing witchcraft for roughly 35 years, I´m pretty sure I´m capable of protecting myself and my loved ones.
I think it´s a good thing to try and build a home in your witchcraft and stay grounded and also keeping in mind that there´s a lot of fearmongering going on especially on social media in regards of cursework. Also, there´s quite some witches who are portraying themselves as “the baddest witch”, claiming to be much more powerful than all the others. I´m having strong opinions about those people, because witchcraft is not a competition.
But I´m stopping myself here before I´ll get into rambling…

I would try something like this : get or make a mirror box, one where the mirrors are facing outside on all sides, some jewellery boxes are like that, those usually don’t have a mirror on the bottom so you can just glue one there. Now that you have your box, get a picture of yourself, some rue, and a black obsidian or some other protective stone. Write your name and date of birth on your picture, put it inside the box, face up, take some of your hair and place it on your picture then place the stone on it, finally cover the picture with the rue, put as much so the picture and the stone are not visible anymore, close the box and keep it in a safe place. Basically all negativity sent your way bounces back to where it came from, while you are protected by the rue and the stone. Probably it’s best to keep it in a place where you can see it often, so you keep fuelling it with your attention and intention

I have always been interested in Pendulums as a child I just used a needle and cotton which was very accurate however, I feel I want to explore more with this so I have ordered The Pendulum Oraculum Handcrafted Victorian Divination Board and a Moonstone Sephorton Pendulum from France which I should receive it next week. I feel that it will be really beneficial with my Ancestors, guidance generally, healing there are so many areas that it can be used. I am excited to learn more.
