Welcome, @KendraS and Merry Meet! I’m Feathertip, from SE Michigan. I’ve been practicing for less than a year though I’ve always been a pagan. I’m just a witchy pagan now, close to the natural world. My favorite divination is with Lenormand cards, and the study of spiritual beliefs.
I understand this completely; you’re not alone. There’s a wide variety of paths and all are welcome and supported here. I personally don’t work with deities either, but I have a strong connection with the Earth and all her critters, and a whole lot of wonder.
Don’t hesitate to ask questions about anything here - everyone is kind and informative. Just jump in wherever it feels right. Blessings!
You don’t have to be. Take your time. Be comfortable with yourself, first and foremost. I am going through a secular phase, myself, and I’m learning a lot about what is happening behind the scenes. This is strengthening me for what will come, later. I’ve been working with it long enough that I see a before and after in myself, though I have not fully become the after as yet. It takes patience.
Merry meet @KendraS ! Welcome to the coven! I’m from my and have been practicing many different aspects of the craft for 35+ years. I currently work with voodoo and divination.
This is a great place for learning and growing. The courses are fabulous! Feel free to jump into any chat that interests you and don’t hesitate to ask questions. This is a very helpful group and always willing to help and guide others.
Working with a deity is not necessary. In my practice I very seldom use them or work with them. Do your practice however it feels the most comfortable to you. That’s what’s great about our world. You don’t need to do anything any certain way. What feels right to you is all you need to do.
Hi, @KendraS! I’m Amethyst from Southern West Virginia. Welcome to the forum!
It’s lovely to have you here! I hope we can help you find what you’re looking for. It can take a while for you to find a deity that fits with you, and some people just pray to the universe. It’s all good. That’s what I like about this path: you can make it fit your needs.
If you have any questions or anything, just holler and someone will pop up to give you a hand. I look forward to getting to know you!
Hello from Japan! My name is Jenna and whileni live in Japan, I’m from America. Welcome to the forum amd the online coven. I’m new myself having just started my practice barely a month ago.
I feel ya. Once you start engaging in the group you may find what you like or you’ll discover it yourself. I love the color purple and amethyst stones which ties with divination like tarot. I realized that it made sense because my first witchy thing that I had bought myself years back was a tarot deck. I guess it was just meant to be. Lol. Just try everything or what feels right to you and have fun!
Welcome! I’m a Wiccan living in Alaska. It’s nice to meet you! I love the term ‘new broom’. How fun.
Don’t rush to work with deities. There’s nothing worse than shoehorning your spiritual beliefs just because you think you ‘need’ to do something that others are doing. I struggled with deity for quite a while after separating myself from the religion I was born into, so I’ve been there. For me, they quietly worked their way back into my life. I consider myself agnostic now.
I hope you enjoy your time here, this community is very active and very warm. It’s like home.
I had a problem with that. I decided to not worry about it and study as many as I could. At the moment I am learning about the Norse and Celtic Pantheons. I will be moving on when I feel I understand them well enough. That may be a while.
I’m Dan and I study belief systems. My path falls loosely under the Chaos umbrella.
Don’t mind me jumping on the welcome wagon too, it’s very nice to meet you! I’m Bry, one of the moderators and an Eclectic Witch. I hope you’ve been finding everything you’ve been looking for
The coven community is blessed to have you here! If I can second what others have already said, there’s no pressure to rush. Take things at your own pace and explore whatever interests you. My name is Kat, and I practice nature magick with a bioregional focus, working closely with the natural world and drawing inspiration from plant and animal spirits. I’m drawn to herbalism, gardening, and various forms of divination - tarot, throwing bones, kipper and ogham.
There is a wonderful search function that will help you dig for more information in the forums!
We’re glad to have you here. Make yourself comfortable, explore, and feel free to ask questions!:
