New Moon in Gemini Ritual: “A Breath of New Possibility”

As tomorrow is the New Moon in Gemini, I worked with Co-Pilot to create this very simple ritual that anyone can use.

Purpose

To clear mental clutter, invite fresh ideas, and open yourself to curiosity, play, and new perspectives.

You’ll need (all optional)

  • A small slip of paper

  • A pen or pencil

  • A candle (white, pale yellow, or soft grey)

  • A gentle breeze, open window, or even a handheld fan

1. Settle Into the Air

Sit somewhere where the air can move around you—near a window, on your porch, or even just in a quiet room with the fan on low.

Take three slow breaths and imagine your mind opening like a window.

Say softly: “I welcome the winds of change.”

2. Light the Candle

Let the flame flicker. Gemini energy loves movement—let the light dance.

Whisper: “New moon, new mind. Let fresh thoughts find me.”

3. Write Your Intention

On your slip of paper, write one intention for the lunar cycle—something light, curious, or mentally freeing. Examples:

  • “I invite new ideas.”

  • “I speak with clarity and ease.”

  • “I stay open to possibility.”

  • “I release mental clutter.”

Keep it short—Gemini magic likes brevity.

4. Air Release

Hold the paper in both hands. Lift it slightly toward the breeze or fan.

Say: “Carry this intention where it needs to go.”

Then either:

  • Fold it once

and place it under your candle or on your altar, or

  • Tear it gently

and let the pieces rest in a bowl (no scattering outdoors— winds will take them too far).

5. Close the Ritual

Blow out the candle and say:

“The winds shift. So do I.”

Sit for a moment and notice any spark of curiosity, any tiny idea, any whisper of inspiration. That’s the Gemini moon speaking.
