A bowl of water is one of the simplest magical tools a Witch can place on an altar: It is ordinary enough to be accessible, but symbolically rich enough to hold prayers, absorb stagnant energy, bless a space, reflect intention, and connect a ritual to the element of Water.

In spellwork, a bowl of water can represent emotion, intuition, cleansing, memory, dreams, the Moon, and the deep inner self. As the elements in my craft are an important part I have wondered when I have filled a glass with filtered water and set it aside if I was busy and coming back to it the water had bubbles your post has explained different reasons for this and the next time this happens I will think about what is happening in my life whether it is flow coming and a message from my Ancestors or to release or something that I need to do.

Thank you this article it has answered a question that I have always wanted to know I thought it meant something but not sure what.

@Moonbeam I’m glad! Water can be interesting like that. While I think sometimes there’s a simple physical reason for the bubbles, it can still be a nice moment to pause and check in with yourself.

It could be something about flow, release, or something Ancestors are bringing to our attention. Thanks for sharing your experience! :droplet:
