Welcome Luna! I’m Ostara from Texas. You have come to the right place. I joined about two years ago as a baby witch and have gained so much knowledge from our fellow witches. There are a lot of beautiful souls here. Again, welcome and if you have any questions feel free to ask. You can also learn a lot by doing the lessons.

First, welcome to the forum @Luna15

My name is Megan and I’m one of the moderators here at Spells8 :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: It’s nice to meet you!

I’ve considered myself a witch since I was about 12 or 13, starting with Wicca and simple spells. At first, it was a lot of reading and simple meditation. I wasn’t supposed to be studying Wicca and witchcraft. My parents weren’t happy about it and didn’t want me to, so I had to do what I could and learn what I could in secret.

Over time, I’ve started to incorporate more small magical things into my daily life. When needed, I charm my coffee. I incorporate cleansing spells into my shower. I meditate when I’m lying down to go to bed. I also have a prosperity altar I work every Thursday, and I read tarot for myself and others.

It can take time to build up and see results from what we’re doing, and you’re not always going to see results. Sometimes, spells don’t work for various reasons. Other times they work, just not in the way(s) we expect. If you’re still learning, we do have several courses here on Spells8 that can help! There are also a few of us who have websites and other platforms where we share what we know. I will leave some links here for you to explore!

I hope you find the answers and information here at Spells8 and elsewhere helpful!

Welcome, @Luna15! It’s nice to meet you. :black_heart:

I’m Katerina, a baby witch living in Australia. I’m the one recently rambling about Hekate, Lilith, and demons. :joy:

I would love to join you in learning everything there is to know! :black_heart: So far, I’m finding that sharing my experiences with others really helps me wrap my head around things, come up with new ideas, questions to delve into, and so on. And I welcome you to do the same whenever you have the time and energy!

Hi, @Luna15! Welcome to the forum! :infinite_roots:

I considered myself pagan about the early 2000s when I found out that witchcraft was a real, genuine thing. I didn’t practice though due to lots of reasons, so it wasn’t till I joined this group a little over three years ago that I called myself a witch. Just having the group encouraging me and setting me challenges gave me the courage to go out there, you know?

Good question!

@Luna15
I keep a dream journal and just write words or phrases. Keep in mind feelings, colors…Doesn’t have to make sense at the time. It could help you to remember more or might make sense when you look at it later!
Good luck!

Hello @Luna15,

Welcome! I’m Bry, another one of the moderators here in the forum and an Eclectic Witch. It’s a pleasure to meet you

Taking on the title of “witch” for me was less about taking steps towards the title and more about realizing that many of the things that define a witch- things such as herbs, tarot, crystals, astrology, etc.- were things I was doing/exploring already. Then it was just a matter of putting on the metaphorical witch’s hat and digging deeper into my studies and beliefs :witch_hat:

At the end of the day, I think magick is something that everyone has inside them- whether to embrace it and whether to take on the title of “witch” are personal decisions that can happen at any time and for any reason.

We all start somewhere- it sounds like you have some wonderful interests that you are learning about, Luna! Good for you  Magickal skills are skills like any other- they will develop and become more comfortable with time. Pursue your interests and, most importantly, enjoy the journey! May your path into magick bring you lots of joy and many blessings

Make yourself at home here! Blessed be :sparkles:
