Oracle Reading Room-February 2026 (The Court of Light and Shadow plus more!)

Today, I did an oracle pull using one my favorite decks. I didn’t really pose a question, just asked my spirit guides for general guidance.

Besties Oracle by RageCreate (I correspond occasionally with one of the founders of the company. He is a happy, hippy spiritual soul and I love their creations. He gifted me this deck during a very hard time in my life.)

Where am I giving energy rather than love out of obligation?

  1. Song of the Heart — Compassion
Keywords: Emotional honesty, empathy, tenderness, connection, soulful
    expression
You are called to act from empathy and emotional honesty. This card
encourages heartfelt communication, kindness toward yourself and
others, and allowing vulnerability to strengthen connection. Healing flows
when the heart is allowed to speak freely.
Faerie Lore: Long ago, a fairy sang to a wounded lake until the water
remembered how to be still. Her song did not fix the world. It softened
it. Song of the Heart appears when compassion is stronger than armor.
It teaches that true harmony is not perfection, but resonance, meeting
another being exactly where they are.

What sticks out to me is “until the water learned to be still.” I think I need to be more compassionate to myself. I always put myself last.

Day 7
What would devotion look like if it felt kind?

This card is saying care for myself I’m supported even if I stay quiet. Care for myself, which is what I have been doing, some self care has been given this week :slightly_smiling_face:

Going for mood today. My deck is Steampunk (Etsy). No manual! Truly intuition alone.

This is about making things work even when seemingly tough. I’m working on a project that needs this!

(note: originally posted in the wrong place. Resilience in making this post work was a portent of the draw I guess!)

What would devotion look like if it felt kind?

This question seems a little odd, because in my crazy mind, all devotion is kind. That’s what makes it devotion, right? Anyway I plead lack of sleep! So, for my question, I’m asking the Universe to show me what I need to see or hear.

1. Dawn’s Embrace — Renewal Keywords: New beginnings, healing light, forgiveness, rebirth, gentleness, hope A fresh beginning is unfolding, softly and without force. Healing energy surrounds you, encouraging forgiveness, hope, and trust in the light returning. Even if you feel tender, this is a moment to welcome new possibilities with an open heart. Faerie Lore: At first dawn, fairies gather dew from the grass to heal what night has bruised. Dawn’s Embrace is said to be born from the first breath the world takes after darkness. This card carries the promise that endings are not punishments but invitations. What rises now does not erase the past. It redeems it. — ✧ —

Oh wow! This is just what I need. Goose bumps!!!

Day 8. What am I afraid to want openly?
Luminous Tide — Cleansing
Keywords: Cleansing, emotional release, renewal, sacred waters,
purification, letting go, lunar healing, gentle transformation

The Luminous Tide Fair Folk are said to rise only under the full moon,
when the ocean itself glows with memory and mercy. They do not erase
pain. They illuminate it, wrapping old sorrows in moonlight until they
loosen and dissolve. These fairies teach that water remembers, but it also
forgives. When one appears, she invites you to step into the surf of your
own emotions, trusting that what is heavy will be lifted, what is tangled
will soften, and what is ready to leave will drift away on silver waves. To
resist the tide is to cling to weight. To enter it is to be remade, radiant and
lighter than before.

Faerie Lore: The Luminous Tide arrives when it is time to wash
away what no longer belongs to you. This card speaks of emotional
purification, soft release, and renewal through compassion rather than
force. Healing happens here not by struggle, but by surrendering to the
rhythm of feeling and allowing the tide to carry burdens back to the sea.

This card is saying it’s time to let go of old feelings I have been carrying, without guilt or drama. I don’t need to be strong right now.

Last night I have done weird dreams quiet a few about my past , high school and friends whom I knew but never really associated with. A job I had which was chaotic and my family home. All which carry somewhat not nice memories of some sorts, I woke feeling anxious this morning. I’m also going back to my second home today not been on my own there for a while but I know once I’m there in nature near the sea I will feel relaxed. I do feel something is lurking/stirring in the background but I guess I will just have to wait and see.

I pulled rune jera this morning using the rune generator from here.

Jera says what you’ve been going through is part of a normal cycle — something is ending because it’s meant to, and something healthier is already forming in the background.

Not the obsessive kind of devotion! Being a true crime buff, that type of devotion can lead to not quite so nice things!

Day 9. What relationship needs tending right now?

Mist walker — Mystery Keywords: Veils, liminal spaces, subtle truths, inner knowing, the unseen, trusting intuition, between worlds, quiet revelations.

Mist Walker appears when clarity is not meant to arrive all at once. This card invites you to move slowly, listen inwardly, and trust what you sense rather than what you can clearly see. Not all mysteries are meant to be solved immediately. Some are meant to be lived.

Faerie Lore: The Mist Walkers are said to dwell where the worlds thin, at dawn, at dusk, and in moments of deep uncertainty. Veiled in silver fog, they guide travelers who have stepped off the mapped paths and into questions without names. They do not give answers outright, instead they illuminate just enough ground for the next step. Will-o’wisps gather around them like curious thoughts, flickering gently to remind mortals that mystery is no danger, but invitation. To meet a Mist Walker is to learn that not knowing is sometimes the most sacred form of wisdom.

Last few days , I have been unable to connect with my thoughts, not knowing what is the right thing to do. I think this card is is saying the relationship that needs tendering right now is the one I have with my inner world. My feelings, intuition and my uncertainty. Slow down and listen be patient with myself. Listen inwardly. So I shall just listen.

Surrender is not my mood right now but maybe I should consider options. The manual says: “This card appears when opposing forces must be held, not solved. Surrender is not defeat here; it is the quiet mastery of allowing light and darkness to braid themselves into truth. Let the process finish itself.”

So… OK, I’ll go into a high speed hold and wait a bit.

Day 9 What relationship needs tending right now?

21. The Bone Collector — Ancestors Keywords: Ancestral wisdom, Lineage memory, Sacred remains, Inheritance of spirit, Reverence, Cycles of life and death, Keeper of stories, Bones as truth, What endures, Honoring the past The Bone Collector appears when the past is not finished speaking. This card reminds you that what came before you is not dead or distant. It lives in your choices, your resilience, and your quiet instincts. You are being asked to honor what endures, to gather wisdom rather than wounds, and to remember that survival itself is an inheritance. Faerie Lore: Among the elder fae, it is said that bones glow because they remember. The Bone Collector walks softly through forgotten groves and star-washed cemeteries, gathering relics not for power, but for safekeeping. Each bone holds a story. A vow kept. A sacrifice made. A love that refused to vanish. The lantern she carries does not burn with fire, but with remembrance. When she appears, the veil thins not for ghosts, but for gratitude. She teaches that ancestors do not demand obedience, only acknowledgment. To listen is to be strengthened. To honor is to be guided.

I was telling hubby a little while ago that today is my grandmother and 1st cousins birthday (both have passed). If my birthday would have been 3 days later, my grandmother would have had 2 grandchildren born on her birthday. How cool would that have been. Tonight, I think I will light 2 candles on my ancestor altar to honor my grandmother and my cousin Ricky.

I love this! I am 10 days late, but better late than never. Beautiful deck. Thank you for this. It’s absolutely lovely.

Day 10: How do I treat my own needs when no one is watching?

  1. The Masked Dancer — Hidden Self

Keywords: Duality, persona, secrecy, self-protection, inner truth, performance

You may be concealing parts of yourself for protection, survival, or timing.
This card invites you to gently examine where you are performing versus where you are being authentic. Not all masks must be removed at once, but awareness of them brings you closer to self-truth.

Faerie Lore: Among the moonlit courts, dancers wear masks not to deceive, but to survive. One dancer learned that removing her mask too soon cost her safety, while wearing it too long cost her joy. The Masked Dancer appears when the soul rehearses courage. She teaches that masks are not lies. They are thresholds, waiting for the right moment to be crossed.
