Oracle Reading Room-February 2026 (The Court of Light and Shadow plus more!)

Day 20.Where am I being asked to soften?

Green Mother Nurture the Earth

Keywords: Nurturing, Earth wisdom, Caretaking, Regeneration, Sacred
reciprocity, Growth through gentleness, Stewardship, Embodied
compassion

The Green Mother reminds you that what you tend will thrive. Care for the
land, your body, your relationships, and your inner life with patience and
devotion. This card speaks of nourishment as a sacred act and of healing
that unfolds slowly, rooted in consistency rather than urgency.

Faerie Lore: In the oldest forests, where roots remember the first
rains, the Green Mother rises when the balance of giving and taking is
restored. The fae tell that she was woven from moss, breath, and
sunlight, born when the Earth herself learned to heal her own wounds.
Wherever her glowing hands touch soil, life remembers how to begin
again. Animals rest in her presence, for she asks nothing she does not
provide. Those who encounter the Green Mother are gently reminded
that the Earth is not separate from them. To nurture the world is to
nurture oneself, and every small act of care echoes through the roots of
time.

I believe that I am being asked to soften with myself. Growth doesn’t need to be forced. When I care for my body and energy gently, everything else unfolds in its own time.

I was working with a very large Tarot/Oracle deck and stumbled onto this one which made me stop and think. It is from “The Tarot of Names” but part of another deck.

The Gloaming lives in an in between space, between the Moon’'s illusory path and the Sun’s celebration of knowledge fulfilled.

I see a young girl sitting in the bottom left corner and two very interesting looking creatures looking at each other from each side of the card. This card has a lot of energy. Nice find my friend!

Here is another mood card that I stumbled onto. It is is an extra card for a deck - I didn’t include it at first but the more I looked at it, the more interesting it became.

This is The Alley. The author’s notes were interesting:

I love those notes about alleys! It touches on their strange allure. For me, anyway.

Day 23. What desire feels sacred, not selfish?

Frost Guardian — Stillness
Keywords: Stillness, Sacred Pause, Inner Quiet, Preservation, Calm
Within the Storm, Winter Wisdom, Emotional Cooling, Patience, Clarity,
Energetic Boundaries

This card invites you into deliberate stillness. Not stagnation, not
avoidance, but a conscious pause where clarity crystallizes. The Frost
Guardian appears when movement blurs truth and silence is the wiser
magic. Hold steady. What needs to be preserved will reveal itself when you
stop pressing forward.

Faerie Lore: In the oldest frost-glades, where breath becomes visible
and sound softens into snow, the Frost Guardian keeps watch. She is
said to arrive when the world grows too loud or the heart too hurried,
freezing time just enough for the soul to catch up. Her wings are woven
from winter’s first hush, and in her cupped hands she carries the stillpoint of all storms. The fae whisper that those who meet her are not
meant to act, but to listen. For in stillness, truths settle like snowflakes,
and what is essential survives the cold.

Rest, pause, without guilt and let clarity come naturally. Rest is not selfish — it protects what truly matters.

What desire feels sacred, not selfish?

Meaning: The Veil conceals and reveals, symbol of mystery, hidden truth, and intuition. This card calls you to trust your inner sight and embrace mystery.

I’m going to noodle on this. Words aren’t coming to me - but I love the card!

Day 23: What desire feels sacred, not selfish?

The Child of Morning - Innocence

Keywords: Joy, curiosity, play, wonder, fresh perspective

Joy, curiosity, and openness wish to reenter your life. This card encourages playfulness, wonder, and seeing the world with fresh eyes. By releasing heaviness and cynicism, you allow new inspiration and delight to take root.

Faerie Lore: The Child of Morning dances where yesterday and tomorrow cannot reach. Fairies say she teaches the sun how to rise with joy. When this card appears, it invites you to release cynicism and remember how it feels to trust life. Innocence here is not ignorance. It is courage without armor.

Reflection: After the weekend we have had, it certainly feels sacred, and not selfish, to be able to thank our lucky stars that all went well, to laugh and love, and to look at the beauty around us with wonder and gratitude. Even the view out of the hospital window encouraged this

Day 24. How do I show devotion to my own becoming?

Earthshaper — Foundation Keywords: Foundation, Stability, Sacred labour, Patience, Long-term vision, Grounded magic, Ancestral strength, Building what lasts
Earth Shaper appears when you are being asked to slow down and build something that can hold weight. This is not fast magic or flashy transformation. It is the deep, steady work of laying roots, shaping form, and trusting that what is built with care will endure. Every small action matters here. What you tend now becomes the ground you stand on later.

Faerie Lore: The Earth Shaper is said to belong to the First Stone Court, a quiet lineage of fae who remember when the world was still soft and listening. With hands warmed by living light, she molds mountains the way others shape clay, whispering intentions into every ridge and root. Vines grow where her fingers rest, anchoring land and memory together. She does not rush, for she knows the earth learns through repetition and patience. When she appears, she reminds us that true power is not in sudden upheaval, but in the sacred act of shaping a life, a home, or a destiny one deliberate touch at a time.

I think this card says to slow down, which is understandable lately I am going at full speed.

Day 25. What flame needs protection, not exposure?

The Hollow Flame — Release Keywords: Letting go, transformation, grief, purification, surrender

Something you have been holding onto is ready to be released. Letting go may bring grief, but it also creates space for transformation. This card marks a powerful clearing, where surrender leads to renewal rather than loss.

Faerie Lore: The Hollow Flame burns without consuming. It is fed not by fuel, but by surrender. Fairies use it to release vows, sorrows, and identities that no longer fit. When this card appears, it signals a sacred ending. Something is being freed, and with it, so are you.

The flame that needs protection is my inner energy. My fire can grow quiet and safely.

Day 25. What flame need protection, not exposure?

I agree with @carrianne on this one. I need to protect my inner energy, especially at work. Hmmm, I’m thinking on this one.

  1. Stone Sentinel — Protection
Keywords: Protection, Boundaries, Stability, Guardianship, Ancestral
Strength, Vigilance, Endurance, Sacred Space, Resilience, Earth Magic
Stone Sentinel — Protection appears when your boundaries are being
reinforced, not tested. This card speaks of steady guardianship rather
than forceful defense. You are held, watched over, and supported by
ancient strength. Stand firm. What is meant for you will pass the gate.
What is not will fall away.
Faerie Lore: It is said the Stone Sentinels were born when the forest
learned fear for the first time. Carved not by hands but by intention,
they rose where roots met bedrock and vows were sworn in silence.
Moss grew upon them as a blessing, runes awakened as memory, and
time itself learned to walk around them. The Sentinel does not chase
danger; it waits. It knows that true protection is patient, unwavering,
and deeply discerning. When you draw this card, the old guardians are
near, reminding you that safety is not weakness. It is sacred
architecture, built stone by stone, promise by promise, until nothing
    untrue may pass.

This is pretty much the same as yesterday. I need to protect my inner strength.

Yesterday I did a candle protection spell, and if the flame has anything to do with how well the spell was working, it was a homerun. I have some dream catchers hanging from the ceiling over my altar, and they were moving from the heat of this candle. I had my cauldron near by and I used the lid to control the flames. I am still the firebug of the coven. :fire: :witch_cauldron:
