Just asking how others feel about going out and investigating unusual places that are supposed to be uh haunted ? I went to a house recently and thought it was interesting as the other people there was with me when i told them I’m a practitioner. I had fun but kept things about what i do to myself. So is this a dumb thing to do or talk about ?
Depends on the area, and the haunting I would think. I mean, going out and admitting to people you’re a witch wouldn’t get you blinked at in New York City, but here in the South? Yeah, they might accept you after they’ve known you a long, long, long time, but it would be a difficult first impression.
I’m also not fond of going to poke about haunted places. But that may be because I’ve read to much Stephen King, and nothing goes well when you go to the ancient graveyard behind your house. LOL!
Anyone who is already visiting a haunted house is going to be pretty happy that a witch is with them and on their side.
I love going to places that are supposed to be haunted. I like speaking to spirits and those that have crossed over. But, I don’t tell people I’m a practitioner of the craft. I guess that’s all a personal thing whether you do or not. The only place I’m open about my practice is when I’m in a metaphysical store.
I have an odd relationship with haunted places. I love the old haunted houses and come away sad that I can’t buy the place and move in They always feel very nostalgic and serene for me, a place of dreams. I’ve never met a horrid ghost, sad, lost ones sometimes, but not evil, and every place I’ve lived has spirits of one nature or another in the place. The weird part is going to a building that has nothing. Now that’s cold even if it’s beautiful, I leave those places
Like most, I would not normally tell strangers what my beliefs are just as I wouldn’t expect them to tell me what theirs are. However, that isn’t a strict rule. It comes up occasionally. I met a woman this week at a restaurant who had witch’s rune tats on her hands and was totally open about it.
As far as visiting ghost houses, most people I know have done it. Some popular places are a little gimmicky but totally interesting.
I love anything that has to do with spirits and the paranormal! Always have!
This right here is what would really scare me! A house that has nothing? Now that to me is not natural!
I only let those I truly trust know anything about my practice or my beliefs. There are some scary people here in Southern California!
