In a silent forest, where the leaves whisper,
I light white light, pure and sweet breath.
With a native stone in my hand, leaves of the secret garden,
I bow to the guardians of the secrets of the world.
“Fairies of silence and wind,
guardians of the paths of light and darkness,
Come near with respect, with pure intentions,
give me your shadow, your light — eternal balance.”
Let the flame burn until the end of the night,
may the promise be kept like a guiding star.
With leaves and stones, amulets of the meeting,
I seal the circle, in an eternal dance of magic.
This is lovely! From childhood, I’ve been fascinated with fairies, but those who taught me about them taught me to be very wary of them. I have never dared to entreat or interact with them. I feel like some things are best enjoyed from afar and perhaps more safely. but I will copy this to my book just in case I ever change my mind!
I’m with you on the Fae. I have a Fae temple in my garden which I keep up together as they are very dominant in this area. Sometimes they are present, but the minds eye image of them isn’t the Tinkerbell, they’re more like 6 feet tall, strong, fierce and slightly tricksterish.
