Protection Jars

I made a protection jar for my son as he moved and is working in Wa. State. Talking to him on the phone the other night, he told me that the cork came out and the contents spilled. He wants me to make him another one. That is not a problem. Is there anything we need to do with the original jar or just dispose of it.

The magic is still there. Perhaps bury the contents on the property, if he has land of his own. If he’s in an apartment, he can pull the magickal intent from the bottle and push it into something else by imagining the magick is a color, pulling it into a ball and pushing the ball into another object of his choice until it glows- perhaps something he can carry or wear, or into the wall or floor if he’s planning on staying a while.

I just thank it for serving me well and toss it in the garbage

What I do is anything organic and not toxic to the environment, I give back to the earth, either by sprinkling it over an area or burying it. As to the actual container, if it’s glass, it can be physically cleaned, clensed, and reused. I’m not much on wasting resources (and mildly obsessed with collecting jars). If you have the desire to reuse the jar, you can. If not, recycle it if possible.

I’m in agreeance with pretty much everyone here – if the ingredients can be saved and the jar recharged, then I would do that. If the ingredients can’t be salvaged then I would give what I can back to the Earth and cleanse the jar for re-use. If your son isn’t too keen on doing the spell himself you can always enchant an object from far away. It would work in the same way as sending energy to a specific person but, instead, you’re sending energy to the spell jar after he puts it back together.

If all else fails, a new spell jar might be needed.
