So I’m sitting here and minding my own business and this thought barges in. It’s like chill bro, I was having a calm night till you meddled. So the thought is as follows: “do the spirits deities, or God’s care about punctuation!”
Actually the thought was -EAT CAT- and my mind corrected the mistake by saying (no -eat, cat!- )

Help before brain exploded. Intention is stronger the punctuation right…somebody?
Also I know this is q and a but Im not approved to post there so…
The Gods don’t care about punctuation! Believe me, I think I must have slept through all my grammar classes when I was in school because I’m a terrible writer!
Great question! I’m going to second Ostara - I believe that the Gods aren’t picky about punction, grammar, or even what language we contact them in. As beings on a higher plane of existence, their methods of communication aren’t bound to the same rules we humans create and use to talk with one another.
So long as you’re being respectful with your communication, I’d say it’s all good!
No worries! I’ve gone ahead and rehomed it into Q&A for you. I’ve also sent a PM - please check your messages!
The very fact that you understood that the cat was being told to eat and not you eat the cat exemplifies that several forms of communication were being used. As long as the message is understood properly, all kinds of grammar, spelling, and punctuation rules can be ignored. If we didn’t understand, this forum could easily become a mire of intellect vs attitude rather than friends expressing their hearts. We do still have times when clarification is requested out of respect and caring, and times when assumed inferences are improperly responded to and corrected… and times when we joke about it all. How we humans communicate with each other reflects the respect we have for each other and our deities, and vice versa.
Hi Rachel,
The Gods know what we’re thinking right? And they and understand our meaning in every thought, word and gesture we make. They delight in even a fleeting thought. Punctuation is the smallest of things to worry about.
As my late brother used to say, “Don’t sweat the small stuff.”
Blessed be

I hope not! The basic idea is intent - in whatever language or thought you use. Besides, punctuation as we now use it has evolved over hundreds of years (since before Chaucer) and now, what we write would be considered illiterate back then. Written language is a flowing thing. So go with the flow… or don’t bother. Intent is the key!
Also, I missed the comma on your second writing of eat, cat so I thought it may be a meme or something (not punctuation). I even looked it up and got a lot of hits on how to eat cat.
