Does anyone know if this is true? This ad from Mindful Souls suggests that where you wear your crystal bracelets, rings etc. will effect how it works. Left hand draws things to you, right hand represents outward energy.

My personal experience has been that as long as you are wearing it on your person, be that on the wrist, in a pendant, or in a pocket, you will benefit from the energy. If you are sending energy out, by all means hold it in the right hand, if you like, but having absobed the energy, you can still send it out without having to do so That’s my two cents!

Thats was my take on it too, until I saw the post from Mindful Souls on Facebook. It just made me wonder.

I’ve never heard of a right/left energy difference with crystals. I’ve only read that keeping it anywhere on your person brings the energy.

Hand mudras can be open to receiving energy from the Universe when palms are up, and others with palms down turn the focus to inward concentration.

But that’s the extent of my knowledge about parts of the body affecting energy.

I’d say this is going to depend entirely on what you believe.

The idea that your hands are receptive or projective in modern witchcraft practices comes from Hermeticism and ceremonial magic, if I remember correctly. Western occult traditions are influenced by Hermeticism, and in those practices, the dominant hand is associated with the active principle while the non-dominant hand is the passive side. It’s the same in ceremonial magic. The dominant hand is used for gestures that project energy and the non-dominant hand is used to receive or ground energy.

My personal belief is that this doesn’t fit with crystals or other items that you wear on your body. Projective and receptive energy, in my opinion, are more about what you are doing with your energy or energy that you have raised.

Projective and receptive sides of the body are used in an active way. It’s something you’re doing, not something that is simply happening. So, if you are holding a crystal in one of those hands, then I would say you can use the concept of active and passive energy to help you focus on what you’re doing with that specific crystal. But if you’re just wearing a bracelet or a necklace that happens to be a crystal or any other magical item, I don’t believe that it matters what side you wear it on.
