Quick Pizza Sauce

Quick Pizza Sauce

Total Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

1 small can of tomato paste
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon butter
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1 teaspoon dried basil
½ – 1 cup of water

Directions:

  1. Melt butter over medium heat in a small saucepan.
  2. Mince garlic and add to the pan, and saute for 2 minutes.
  3. Add tomato paste and dried herbs and combine.
  4. Stir in water to achieve the desired consistency, usually taking at least ½ cup.
  5. Simmer for 5 minutes to join flavors.

I never make my own pizza, citing the simplicity of a dollar slice. :thinking: Pizza dough scares me. But! Two halves of an english muffin, toasted, with a little of this, some shredded mozz, and some toppings…? :eyes:

Or a bagel! Or you can get pizza dough in a can, or use canned biscuits. It really seems easy to make.
