Hello @sybil1 :waving_hand: Welcome to the forum!

I’m sorry to hear that your selenite sphere is broken into pieces! As far as repairing it, that’s a completely personal decision. I don’t think there’s anything wrong, magically, with repairing a broken crystal. Some people may believe that cracks or a piece that is broken into smaller pieces is affected energetically, but that is personal practice.

Personally, I don’t believe that. I think that a selenite sphere, even if broken into multiple pieces, is still a selenite sphere with the same spiritual properties as if it were whole.

Now, when it comes to the process of repairing it, that is something I’m not too familiar with. I would imagine that some sort of super glue or epoxy would work in putting the pieces back together. The only thing I would say is to be cautious when handling it and, if possible, use some sort of gloves. Selenite can easily splinter and break into very tiny pieces that are basically microscopic shards of glass that can irritate your skin, lungs if you inhale them, or your eyes if you get them in your eyes.

Welcome, @sybil1 and Merry Meet!

I completely agree with @MeganB about the idea of repairing a cracked or broken crystal. No energy should be lost and, even if you thought it might be, you could easily recharge each piece.

If the broken selenite pieces are large and blocky, epoxy or some other glass/ceramic-friendly glue might work. But it could be tricky if there are more jagged pieces or edges that could break off themselves.

Possibly a jewelry repair store could help? They might see cracked gemstones and know how to help.

Hope you can get some help with your selenite sphere. Blessings! :sparkles:

Hi, @sybil1! Nice to meet you!

I’m going to be a bit different. It depends on how you broke the crystal. See, to me, if you drop it of something, that’s just gravity, so yeah, fix it. No problem.

But if your crystal breaks out of nowhere, for seemingly no reason? I’d say that it’s come to the end of its life in a way. It’s protected you or something and gave its all. I’d respectfully return it to the earth.

But that’s just my opinion.

Hello @sybil1,

Sorry about your Selenite crystal. You’ve already got some great advice, so while I don’t have anything else to add, I do hope you find a way to either fix it or give it a new life! I also wanted to say welcome to the forum

Blessed be!

Hi @sybil1 ! From my perspective as an art witch I think repairing it with using Kintsugi techniques would be awesome. Kintsugi is the japanese art of repairing broken things and while acknowledging the brokenness also being aware, that being broken is not necessarily the end of something, but a transformation to a new and altered state of consciousness.

I like that idea! Good one!

absolutely and 100% this, @Feathertip as repairing or mending something is a magickal act in itself.

Hello to all. Thank you for all the welcome messages and advice. I thought i would update you all on my sphere. It fell when it broke, simply an accident, in to 3 large pieces. I used fiberglass resin and manages to slide it back together in such a way that the crystal planes of the stone realigned. You can barely tell it was broken. Mostly just where the point of impact was. I felt the the breaks did not weaken the sphere. I feel it opened up new roads. Thank you all again! Blessed Be…Sybil
