Ritual to Remember a Past Life
“May the threads of time unwind, Show me what was once mine.”
You’ll Need:
- A black candle (for mystery and the unknown)
- A white candle (for clarity and truth)
- A mirror or bowl of water (for scrying)
- Mugwort tea (optional, for enhancing dreams and visions)
- Journal + pen
- Quiet, dimly-lit space
Steps:
- Cleanse your space:
Burn some incense, herbs (like sage or rosemary), or just sit quietly and ground your energy. Say:“All that is heavy, leave this space. Only truth and clarity may enter.”* - Create a circle (optional):
Visualize a protective circle of light surrounding you. This is your sacred space. - Light your candles:
Place the black candle on your left and the white candle on your right. These represent the balance between the unknown past and clear understanding. - Scrying (mirror or water):
Gaze into the mirror or water. Let your vision soften. Breathe deeply and say:
“Mirror of time, waters of soul,Show me the stories I used to hold.” - Focus on a question or intent:
Ask inwardly: “Who was I before this life?” or “What lessons do I carry from before?” - Sit in meditation for 10–20 minutes:
Let images, feelings, symbols, or memories come naturally. Don’t force it—receive. - Journal afterward:
Write everything down, even if it feels strange or unclear. Over time, patterns may emerge. - Close the ritual:
Thank any energies or guides. Snuff out the candles. Say: “The veil may close, but not the thread. I honor all the lives I’ve led.”*
Optional: Dreamwork
Drink mugwort tea before bed and keep your journal by your pillow. Ask for a past life memory to come in a dream.
NOTE - WARNING - DO NOT Drink Mugwort tea if you are pregnant or nursing. MUGWORT can cause miscarriage.
