Signs of Spring- Hope For Those Still Frozen

Yesterday, we were driving by a copse of sycamore trees. Many of them no longer had the white bark of winter! Their bark was becoming a fuzzy pale green. We have sap rising!

Anyone else see signs of Spring, yet?

We have daffodils! I guess that’s like the south’s version of snowdrops! My magnolia tree has gotten very green. And… wait for it… .sunset will happen around 7pm tonight!! I hate when it gets dark at 5:00 all winter! I need the light!

Same, I love the light now. Winters great but it’s been long. Time for some light warm nights

No signs of anything green yet. We still have snow and ice here, but it has been more sunny out and it’s supposed to warm up this week.

May all warming go slowly to soak the plants and avoid flooding!

No signs here yet, but the sun seems brighter. Patiently waiting for the thaw!

I noticed forsythia and winter honeysuckle starting to bloom and spring crocus today on my run.

where I live it is still very much winter. the snow is thick with plows making mountainous piles while plowing driveways and roads. but I’m not complaining. I do love winter very much. I am exited for the coming spring and summer though. I have many plans for getting outside more and connecting with nature in a way that is hard for me to do in winter.

Yay! That’s uplifting to hear  :seedling: :sparkles:

The ground is just beginning to get muddy, but no sign of any spring flowers or growth yet. I check the garden for hellebores (usually the first ones around here) every now and then. Hopefully soon! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

A few days ago it was -20F (-28.9C) in the morning. Yesterday, I was able to bury a witch’s bottle in the mud. I had a memory pop up on FB about a bike ride I took and it was 81F on this date. So, yep. Spring is coming and right on time.

Sorry to tell you but it’s 80 degrees in Texas today. I was pulling weeds earlier (funny how they grow more vigorously than anything you actually want to grow in your garden. But in the end I had to sit on the back porch in the shade with a cup of tea and relax.

I’ll send warming energies to all of you still in the deep freeze.

We have so much snow here in Ontario Canada. A brutal winter in several years. I was out in hot tub early last evening and I could hear the birds in our pine tree!!!

I love spring!!! :blossom::tulip::hibiscus::cherry_blossom::rose::herb::leaves::seedling:

There’s something so peaceful and magickal about sitting in a hot tub watching the snow fall  Love that you heard birds starting their spring calls!

We have a trailer 15 mins away and that is truly my Happy Place. But in the off season, my hot tub becomes my Happy Place! Especially this winter as menopause symptoms have hit me like a truck. The only relieve I get for my body and muscle aches is the hot tub! But it was so nice to hear the birds!!!

Albuquerque hasn’t been much over 70° once every two weeks between cool downs, but we did see plum blossoms today!

Day before yesterday, I had an adult fly on my window screen in the living room.

We had about 4 feet of snow on the ground here in central Minnesota. But the last few days the temperatures have been in the mid to high 40’s. We are down to about a foot of snow, maybe a little less. Even had some rain yesterday! Hopefully spring is on its way! But I’m not holding my breath. We usually get an early March blizzard.
