What kind of mushrooms are you going to try with this? The original recipe looks like button mushrooms or something.
I just learned that button, cremini, and portobello are all the same mushroom type, just at different stages of life. Whoa.
I wonder if I could try this with a mix of button, cup, portobello, shiitake, and oyster mushrooms. And then instead of ranch, maybe just an aioli and a mix of herbs.
And now I just learned that cups are button mushrooms which have grown to a stage where the cap is beginning to open, and some gills can be seen. Whoa.
My mushroom lore skill is rapidly levelling up today, thanks to you, @Amethyst.
I didn’t know mushrooms got their own month- this is so cool! Thank you for an extra special recipe, @Amethyst- now I need to go get myself some mushrooms to cook with!
Awwww I’m blushing! Although I don’t know if I’m worthy of the title Queen, maybe just Mushroom Squire as this point haha. Still have a long, long way to go in the world of mycology and mush-studies
My quality control assistant and I are so ready for some mushroom shenanigans!
I’m thinking of combining aspects of the above recipe with this one, Slow Cooked Herbed Mushrooms, for the smaller mushrooms because I love overloading everything with more herbs.
