Here are the obligatory photos of our < 1 inch of snow!
It’s lovely ![]()
Is it sticky snow? I’d be out there trying to make a snowman/witch/cat if it was!
Looks beautiful and I hope it melts quickly!
Yes, it’s a bit sticky, there’s just not much of it. The neighbor’s kids made a snowman that was all of six inches tall!
Love the cat or dog paw prints across the deck.
We have feral cats around. I hope they are staying warm in the shed. Hubby put some heat lamps out there.
I hope they have sense to stay where it’s warm, although you may find a possum or raccoon hanging out with them too.
True, we have a few of those around!
People are sledding at Hermann Park. Hubby was watching it online. That’s something you don’t see everyday! ![]()
I’d still be out there trying!
It was always one of my favorite parts of winter growing up ![]()
Do you wanna build a snowman?

Someone mentioned the other day about snow magic. I think I’m going to collect some snow! We have to get it while we have a chance right?
Ah - good idea! Molly Roberts does a snow magic where she collects snow and lets it melt and uses the water when she’s painting. I’m “art-ing” today, so I should go and collect some snow!
Yes, that would be awesome!!!

Snowcone, anyone? LOL this will probably melt down to half an inch of water but it will be fun to use on my Imbolc art journal page I am working on.
That’s a beautiful idea! I collected a big bowl of snow and when it melts I’m going to jar it and label it snow water for later use.
@Greenbriar It’s pretty wild to see and hear about snow in Texas! Sounds like you’re making good use of it - happy painting and crafting!

Yes?
In my youth, it was always a social event. I was an only child. The one and only time I built one, my mother pulled me indoors and shamed me for the possibility of freezing to death.
