One cool trick with snow is to build images of things you wish for and manipulate them as part of your life. This helps with visualization and manifestation. You can also build a low wall around your property and imagine it doming over you as protective magick or a cone of power within which to cast other spells.

On the flip side, build images of things you want to remove from your life and watch them melt away. If you are concerned with illness of any kind, build a snow monster and throw snowballs at it to destroy it.

Most of all, enjoy the rare beauty! That in itself is a powerful form of magick.

Gather up the snow into a bowl, bring it indoors, let it melt and store it to use later in spells. It has a unique energy connected with Thor in the Nordic tradition.

Skoll :beers:

You’ve already got some fun suggestions - the only other one that comes to mind is this snow cleansing spell (using snow or rainwater)

Enjoy the snow! :snowflake:

Thanks everyone! I took a quiet walk without the kids…. Gathered up some snow to put aside and made some pretty sigils.

@tracyS and @Ostara - Thank you! There is STILL snow on the ground today… which is unheard of in Georgia… we also have lots of ice. The trees are sparkly and my soul is so happy! I have been enoying it immensely!

I’m a bit late on seeing this, but I thought I might share anyway, as I haven’t been very active for a while.

I have a basic ritual I use this time of year. I begin by meditating to clear my thoughts and relax my breathing. After creating my circle and inviting the elements, god, goddess, and Spirit to join with me, I take a brass offering bowl and scoop up some fresh snow. Bringing it inside, I set it on my altar. I then take time to center and meditate on my goals for using reflection to help me be better. The snow takes a while to melt. I push away any negativity or evil that might be held in the snow so that it will better serve me. Then, I finish my ritual by closing my circle and releasing the energies within it out into the universe to help me achieve my goals and to be free for others to use who might need it.

Tomorrow, the snow will have all melted, giving me a dish of water with a reflective surface. I will perform the same type of ritual, taking time to look at the surface of the snow I was given to reflect upon myself and my life, as the candles reflect on the water.

I find it extremely relaxing and will sometimes incorporate (if no snow presents itself) a cup of tea or coffee in place of the snow.

Thanks for letting me share,

Stephen

So, I’m a dork and forgot that I had written a blog post back in 2019 with different ways you can use snow in your practice  if it’s not too late, here it is!

You’re not a dork. You’re just mentally busy with other things. No harm, no foul because it’s never too late, not even in the heat of the summer. After all, others have varying seasons. Thank you for sharing!

That’s true, Georgia  thank you for the shift in perspective! That seems to be a theme for me today  you’re the second person!

Love Love Love your snow witch! I wish I could get excited about snow but living up in Maine, we aren’t on speaking terms. Though this winter hasn’t been terrible, yet.

Enjoy your snow!

You’re welcome! If I can find more sources and ideas for snow magick, I’ll share them here. I’m sure there have to be plenty on YouTube somewhere  enough of us witches live in a white wonderland for half the year!

Okay, I looked around on YouTube and found some more inspiration and ideas in videos. These might help!
