🌙 Spell for Easing a Difficult Transition

Intent: To soothe emotional turbulence and welcome new beginnings with clarity, strength, and peace.

Best Time to Perform: During the waning moon (for release) or new moon (for fresh starts), ideally on a Sunday (for healing) or Monday (for emotional balance).

:candle: What You’ll Need:

  • A white candle (for peace and clarity)

  • A black candle (for release and protection)

  • A small bowl of water (for emotional flow)

  • A small bowl of salt (for purification and grounding)

  • A piece of paper and pen

  • An amethyst, moonstone, or smoky quartz (optional, for emotional balance)

  • Lavender or chamomile incense (or dried herbs for burning)

:crystal_ball: The Spell:
Cast a circle, or simply find a quiet, undisturbed space. Arrange your items in front of you.

Ground yourself. Take a few deep breaths. Feel the weight of your body. Touch the salt and water gently to center.

Light the incense and both candles. As the smoke rises, say:

“Sacred flame and scented air, Carry my burdens, light as prayer.
Let what’s heavy now take flight, Make space for peace and inner light.”

Write down what you’re leaving behind—emotions, fears, situations, or patterns that no longer serve you.

Hold the paper and say: “This I release with open heart, No longer mine, we now must part.
I thank the lesson, honor the pain, And call upon peace to fill its place again.”

Burn the paper safely in a fireproof bowl or cauldron (or rip and bury it, if burning isn’t possible). Watch the smoke rise and visualize your burdens lifting away.

Dip your fingers in the water, then touch your forehead and heart. Say: “With this water, I cleanse my soul. I welcome change and remain whole.”

If using a crystal, hold it to your chest and say: “Stone of calm and silent might, Anchor me through change and night.”

Sit in silence for a few moments, feeling the energy shift. Breathe deeply and let a sense of trust and openness fill you.

Snuff the candles.
Say: “As this spell ends, so may the storm. I step forward—transformed, safe, and warm.”

Aftercare:

  • Drink water or tea.

  • Take a salt bath if possible.

  • Keep the crystal (if used) with you for the coming days.
